Green Islands in a Sea of Stone

Spared by the ice-age, overlooked by an expanding civilization for hundreds of years, saved at the last minute from a total sell out to tourism - that is the still little known Carinthian Nockberge region.

Pretty, but repetitive

Beautiful shots, informative narration, but it is very repetitive. Especially if you have seen any of their other documentaries. There is a reason so many of them are in the same region. They reuse footage over and over. Watching a 2 or 3 of them is all you need.

And btw, including information about climate change or human encroachment on animal territory is not a political agenda, just scientific fact. If you don't like the guilt, that is a personal problem, not the problem of documentaries.

I enjoyed this documentary and would like to visit this region if Europe ever settles down and becomes what I remember from being stationed in Spain in the late 70s.

Green Islands – the music was too loud in the beginning. It got better. It’s an okay documentary.

This is an amazing series of travelogues which I enjoy. They are unusual and show areas of the world that aren't well-known
