Nothing Like the First
Verified purchase
Our family enjoyed the first movie quite a bit. It was funny, with lots of slapstick humor and clever jokes. 20 minutes into Grown-Ups 2 and there were nothing but raunchy "adult" humor jokes that are in your face and incredibly inappropriate. If you enjoyed the first movie because of its humor and style, please change your expectations drastically before viewing. Maybe the movie lightens up on "adult" humor as the movie continues past the 30 minute mark, but I didn't want to stick around to find out. Call me old school, but I feel like most the jokes were R content in nature, but simply because they didn't actually SHOW anything (although insinuated a ton) that's why they can move on with PG-13 rating.

Even better than the first one!

The sequel to "Grown Ups" was both very funny, and surprisingly touching, too. The sequel, much more than the original, really spoke to several issues that so many of us have while growing older. Especially if we stay in our hometowns! There was a lot of giving, love, and (surprisingly) maturity in this one.
It's now one of my favorite movies - I highly recommend it, especially if you're feeling a bit down/blue. THIS is friendship & family!

It's funny but it has absolutely no plot

The first Grown Ups was about Adam Sandler and his friends dealing with their family issues while having some fun. Number 2 was just about the jokes. That starts right at the beginning as each main character gets their own little bit. It is really funny even though it has absolutely no plot.

Will alway support "Happy Gilmore Productions" Sandler is a real stand up guy, treats all his friends like gold.

Anh, the boys liked it, I liked seeing "Stone Cold Steve Austin" but sometimes sequels are like coming in 2nd place. Good but not the best. I will however try and support any "Happy Gilmore" production as I think Adam Sandler is a stand up guy. He always puts friends in his movies, isn't afraid to push a boundary or two, to me he seem to be a stand up guy...his "Brothers Keeper"...Blended had me in tears during some parts....

Funny Sequel
Verified purchase
This is a good yet funny sequel to the original. Good storyline and great how almost all the original cast appears in this one. It would be great to see a third movie but not sure how they would incorporate it or what the storyline would be for the characters.

Family favorite

My son’s favorite movie. It’s okay for me. Pretty much the same characters they play in every other movie. But it as a Adam Sandler movie so kind of expected it. Keeps son happy so it’s a win in my book

As funny as Grownups, but a bit less appropriate for kids under 14
Verified purchase
This group of comedians are onto more hilarious scenes. I stand by my rating like the first one...not for children under 14. And even at 14, there are some parts that are pretty crude. For myself, they went too far down into crude humor but it was still really funny...especially the first half of the film.
