Guy loves to write what he reads.
I generally write action/adventure books. I don't go heavily into elves, gnomes and unicorns, but I am excited to write about magic, swords, sorcery, teleportation, space flight, and aliens-even aliens among us.
My real life involves teaching graduate students debits and credits. I live in the Mountain West and have four children, who have given me lovely, happy grandkids.

Gags, a young magician back from the wizard war, and Pepper, a just-as-young thief band together to create a protection agency, guarding goods in transit as well as providing bodyguards. On their first day in business, a beautiful woman contracts them to protect her husband. The woman asks Gags about his background, and Gags traces his personal story from an inexperienced magician thrown into a wizard's war. Along the way, Gags tells of gaining a deep understanding of magic and losing a precious friend in the midst of war, betrayal, and the establishing of enduring friendships.
Whit Varian wants to look past his last year at the University of Herringbone toward returning to the field to collect more parts of the long-lost Augur’s Eye. However, life gets in the way as he must endure the presence of a pestilent prince and his serpent familiar. The execrable Greeb Deechie intrudes into Whit’s life again even as Greeb’s cousin arrives in Herringbone to continue the romantic relationship with Whit started in Coria. Before his schooling ends, events cascade as Whit’s life is threatened, and the pursuit of the Augur’s Eye becomes more dangerous than Whit could ever imagine. All this in the final book in the Augur’s Eye series.
In a world with seven races, Whit will find that his heritage is more complicated than what he thinks, and his personal universe turns upside down when disastrous events occur in the year he starts at the University of Herringbone.
With a commitment made to excel at his studies, Whit feels he must succeed for his parents as much as for himself. His education is continually disrupted by those who do not want him to achieve his dreams.
As he works through the obstacles, Whit learns of a magical device, the Augur’s Eye, that was dismantled in ancient times and the components scattered. It is the Augur’s Eye that will become the focus for later adventures in the series, but for now, The Rise of Whit sets the stage for an epic journey to retrieve all the parts and restore the Augur’s Eye to the world.
Whit Varian’s expedition to find ancient parts for the Augur’s Eye begins in the pixie country of Perisia. There he is confronted by a weak monarch, and it seems everyone in the country is conniving to gain power. Whit and his team must find ways to overcome the obstacles that arise at every turn while keeping an eye on a rival expeditionary team and their own advisor, While Whit is still exploring his own origin and uniqueness, he finds himself on a concurrent intelligence mission for the kingdom of Ayce.
With only a few weeks left to the end of summer, Whit Varian and part of his team journeys to the Pixie/Gnome country of Coria with the intent of retrieving two additional artifacts from the Augur’s Eye. Thinking the task would be easy, Whit and his team are embroiled in more political turmoil, pitting his team against the Queen of Coria on one hand and the vicious magicians circle on the other. The expedition becomes a matter of staying alive until the task is complete and returning intact to the University of Herringbone.
