Do you need a laugh? Hey, we all do! This collection will take you from reality to fantasy, from cute to profane, and from grins to guffaws. These seventeen original stories are packed with sarcasm, satire, and wickedness, and are so completely tongue in cheek there’s no way you can avoid a smile.
Authors hailing from faraway places on either side of the Atlantic Ocean, in big cities and out in the countryside, offer their insights into what we call humor. Comedy is hard work. Humor is so often experienced in a particular situation and is often impossible to reproduce. Writing funny stories must come from conditions which allow the writer to laugh at himself. If we could remember all the funny things that happen during a day (or night), we would laugh a whole lot more.
This anthology was collected with giving in mind. All comedians live to be laughed at. Giving your laughter nourishes their souls. And all the money received from sales of Ellipsis will go to charity.
Humor and humanity—after all, that’s what life’s all about.

The Binge-Watching Cure
Mar 29, 2018
$4.99
You know you want to read more. You remember once losing yourself in books. You recall how exciting the adventures were, how late you stayed up following your favorite characters, and how you cried, gasped, or bit your nails.
But how to start reading again when binge-watching TV is so easy and — let’s be honest — fun?
You start slowly, of course. Baby steps. First, with a story that’s only twitter-sized in length. Then the next, a mere 75 words. Then a few hundred words, followed by progressively longer tales until you’re reading novels without even knowing it.
That’s The Binge-Watching Cure, a collection of stories encompassing a range of genres, including mystery, romance, horror, science fiction, literary, crime and more — a little of everything for everybody.
In this book, you’ll witness a couple’s role-playing night-on-the-town, a First Sergeant coming face to face with the horrors of war, a post-apocalyptic thriller, a young woman with seven days to live out a lifetime of love, a catastrophic train wreck that gives a circus troupe baffling powers, and more.
So kick off your shoes and cure your binge-watching.

The challenge was set: Write fiction using only 100 words for story and title (chances are this description will also be one hundred words). Anyway, the theme was science fiction tropes. Working within these boundaries the writer created 100 micro-stories and vignettes. In these tiny works we hop from planet to planet, from the future to the past. The main objective of some is to entertain the reader, of others to make him, or her think. So come along and enjoy the trip. On the way we’ll encounter spaceships, dictators, robots, aliens, zombies, mad scientists, and one terribly angry… shrimp?

‘Carrier Wave’ is defined by the dictionary as ‘a high-frequency electromagnetic wave modulated in amplitude or frequency to convey a signal’. Kind of like humour. If you can make people laugh, they seem to become more open to your message. This can be very powerful for writers.
In this anthology you will find a range of approaches to making you laugh, from ‘real-life comic drama’ to humorous misunderstanding, from observational humour to a playful ‘messing about in tropes’. Of course, you’ve chosen this book at least partly because you are predisposed to laugh, but I think you’ll be impressed by these efforts to catch you off-guard and surprise you.
See what you think.
