This was a fascinating program, with a lot of old footage of Elizabeth as a young woman and queen. I respect her for you dedication to her job and to her people. If she seems like a stiff, unemotional person, you only have to think about the way she was raised and the enormous responsibility she shouldered at such a young age and ask yourself if you could have done it as well.

More like a tv show really

Really not what I expected. After recently seeing Queen Victoria which gave a more chronological account and story, this was very disappointing actually. More like a tv show really. The music was not likeable and the scenes flashed from early years to later years to mid years with no real continuity at all. Could have been much better in my view.

standard bill of fare

standard bill of fare depicting the monarchy. i expected rag mag type coverage of the monarchy but instead, was given a more enriched version of the queen herself. her upbringing, her rise to the throne, her early marriage, the kids, her sister, the people she governs. very informative without being invasive. an hour is just enough.

so pretty outdated.

Meh. Not well organized, but some interesting footage. Little or no new information. Unclear what the filmmaker was trying to accomplish. Made after the death of Diana but before the passing of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret, so pretty outdated. .

Not terrible, but way too sketchy. After the Queen the Monarchy-the REAL Monarchy- ends and they will simply send in the clowns.

Somewhat boring

This seems to be an approved version of the story, as I've seen many others that are more dramatic and interesting.
