Of course, it says in the description that the cable is not included, the description also says nothing about wifi, scanning, faxing or copying.
So why the other reviews rate this printer badly for those omissions is not the printers fault now is it?
This is just your plain, basic printer of the type made years ago before all the "do-everything" printers came along, and guess what? It prints just fine.
You might as well add another set of ink cartridges to your basket if you buy this, the ones included are "starter" cartridges, I printed one one page of plain black text and the black cartridge read almost a quarter empty, so they won't last long.
Then sits there until you ask it to print again.
That is all I ask.
It's super light. The color is nice. It's small and folds up to be compact. It uses a common HP ink so easy to find replacement cartridges. It's cheap.
The only cons I could see are:
It prints pretty slowly...but what rush are you in? c'mon look at the price.
You insert paper from the top, I prefer having a bottom loading trap...but why does that even matter? c'mon look at the price
I think this is because the ink cartridges are new, but the ink has like a very subtle "faded" look...but are we printing movie tickets or a corporate marketing campaign? c'mon look at the price.
Perfect for the regular student and home use. If you want office quality printing buy a more expensive printer or go to Fedex/Staples.
I needed a printer. I sooooo needed a simple printer that just prints out what's on the screen. Is that too much to ask? Well, apparently it is! I bought a printer at an office supply store (yes, the big one that starts with the letter 'S') and it was a DUD. The roller didn't roll. I called customer service and the guy wanted to have someone repair my NEW PRINTER?!
In what universe does that make any sense? Well, I got my money back and not buying from that retailer again. My present-day needs are simple; just print the freakin' page. Not part of the page, the whole page without inky mess, roller problems, paper jams, and so on and so on. Printer, pure and simple with no bells or whistles.
I found this one online. Reviews looked good. Priced at under $30 - very affordable. I thought, "Why not?"
The set up instructions completely illustrated, no words. I followed each step successfully until I got to the ink cartridges. I couldn't get them to snap in properly, and I was careful not to force them in. Took me a few tries, but finally, success. Placed the disc in my computer and it was such an easy set-up that I didn't realize it was over. *Snap* - that quick.
1. Prints FAST!
2. Add paper easily.
3. Nice fold-up paper tray.
4. Computer set up, a breeze.
1. It only prints and does not copy or scan.
2. The ink cartridges could be a little easier to snap in.
I recommend this printer to anyone who just needs something simple and good. Prints fast. Easy to use. Easy to set up. In a word - Easy. This would make an excellent printer for a student or personal use at home.
HP got it right!
