I dont like to read reviews that are full of spoilers but I have to say this movie has some very disturbing scenes involving children. I didnt like this movie for that and other reasons but as I said I dont like reviews that are full of spoilers. I just want to prepare/ warn you this movie has some hard to watch scenes.

It's okay... I would not watch it twice though... I actually barely made it through the first watch.

It is not the best movie, but it also is not the absolute worst movie either. I give the acting a solid D+ because I have seen movies were the acting was worst then the acting done in this film. The plot is not really "deep" in my opinion. This movie does sort of bring into question an array of social issues that are prevalent these days and it also touches bases on the deviant behaviors some humans display. There are no real heroes in this film and every main character has a flaw of some sort, just like in the real world. All in all, this movie basically just shows how messed up mankind really is.

production and acting were good but if a movie is gross and not entertaining what's the point

At first i thought this was going to be good, but it wasn't, it was really just gross with no cool factor whatsoever. The dudes that made this have talent and so do the actors, I liked a lot of the production, but the script wasn't great and the subject matter wasn't entertaining, it was just disgusting and yucky and moved too slow for what it was .Maybe there was some kind of societal reflective message thing going on but i didn't get it and i don't want to waste my time seeing some really gross stuff going down without cool stuff going down. There's bad stuff and people with serious problems that need help but from what i've been seeing movie making needs some serious serious help on all sides of the spectrum. I like cool movies and they're very hard to find.

...who is this movie supposed to appeal to?
Verified purchase
The movie itself isn't necessarily bad if it's what you're into (not for me). But regardless, it's incredibly misrepresented. There's nothing paranormal, nor is there any particular connection to the seven deadly sins as one might expect. The span of time that the movie takes place in is also entirely insignificant.

Quick recap, probably/maybe spoilers: Overly brutal mugging, uncomfortable sexual favors for heroine, heroine overdose, rape, sex with wife after raping someone, now they all have HIV, now someone burned the house down with all of them in it, including a 9 year old girl who was actually innocent, the end.
