Complete Disappointment
My fiance and myself were excited to watch the new season of Halloween wars like we do every year. Once she found out Zak from ghost adventures was hosting, she even got more excited. We come to find out this season has completely changed the atmosphere of the competition. It seems like there is NO drive for excitement, no drama, just super slow paced and they over explain every single thing they do now. There is also no pumpkin carvers, idk. I hope the next episode gets better, or else I'll just quit watching this crap for the year.

click bait
I was expecting to see Zak Bagans hosting the show in person but they show him via tv just a couple times. Someone else reallly hosts the show. Kind of disappointed as Im a huge Ghost Adventures fan and an even BIGGER Zak Bagans fan!! I think they used Zak as click bait to bring Ghost Adventures viewers over to their show for ratings. I wish Zak was there in person and not just on a tv monitor. Not cool Halloween Wars!

NO PUMPKIN CARVERS
I like cake competitions but we already have Halloween Baking Championship.
I watch Halloween Wars for the amazing Pumpkin Carving and how it works together with the cake and sugar work.

Not nearly as much fun

Sad
One of my favorite parts of Halloween Wars, is the pumpkin carving. But this year, they left it out. What’s Halloween with NO PUMPKINS?! The host is lackluster, as well. There’s simply no excitement in this season, and it’s truly sad.

Disappointing
It’s completely different and boring. There is no pumpkin carvers either, this is a huge disappointment as I look forward to Halloween Wars each year. Don’t bother buying this season, it’s not worth it. Super awesome seeing Zak Baggins being apart of it but he’s not there in person & there really isn’t any host, what happened to Justin Willman??!

NO Pumpkin Carving!!! What???!!!!
This was disappointing because they didn't have the pumpkin carving which is what made this show unique. We see a thousand different baking shows, and there's already a Halloween baking championship, which is what they've watered this down to. I did like the new judges - they should keep them, and I prefer the absence of the "class clown" hosting the show and failing at humor - he was never funny, just childish. Having said all that, the pumpkin carving - which is unique to Halloween - is missing which makes this new show a failure. I hope they learn their lesson and bring back the pumpkin carving, otherwise there's just no point.

Meh, still entertaining, but not as
Different format this year. Was it a COVID thing? Cross-promotion? New execs wanting to mix things up? Who knows. But one of the most unique and distinguishing elements of HW - the pumpkin carving - was axed. As others noted, this makes the competition similar to all other run of the mill baking shows. And since we already have a Halloween baking show, this just seems redundant. I hope they bring it back. But they can leave out the prank-playing host as that “comedic” element away a fell a bit flat. The new hosts have a good rapport and their banter is entertaining enough and much more natural than the contrived humor of the prior format. So some improvements, but I think a net loss nixing the carvers. Show runners, listen to the fans and bring the carvers back!

Bring back the pumpkin carvers, it is what makes this show distinct!!
I think all Halloween Wars Fans can agree, it was the addition of pumpkin carvers that makes this show fun to watch in addition to the cake and sugar artists! We already have cake championship baking shows as well as Cake Wars. I wont continue watching unless they bring back the pumpkin carvers!
