From the manufacturer
With a 40 ounce juice container, there is no need to stop every few seconds to empty the container. Just juice and pour. Pour the perfect glass with the froth separator, which keeps the foamy froth in the pitcher and out of your glass. Prefer to keep the froth? Just remove the lid from the pitcher, stir and pour.

It’s easy to get juicing - just insert the strainer and lock on the lid with the locking arm, and add the pulp bin. Juice everything from firm apples and ginger root, to delicate leafy greens. You can even use the juicer to make soy, almond, or rice milk.
Cut Cleaning Time in Half
The patented Easy Sweep cleaning tool cuts strainer cleaning time in half. And with dishwasher safe parts, you can juice as often as you like with minimal clean-up time.
Big Mouth Feed Chute Fits Whole Foods
The Big Mouth feed chute is 3 inches wide to fit a whole apple, a peeled orange or a handful of kale. So there’s less pre-cutting and more continuous juicing. In fact, you can make up 12 oz. of juice in less than 30 seconds. An extra-large pulp bin means you don’t have to stop the process to empty out pulp
Less Mess with Adjustable Spout
The drip-free spout keeps drips off your counter between batches or whenever you move the pitcher. Simply push the spout up to close, then push back down when you’re ready to juice. The spout is also removable for easy cleaning.
Two Speeds for More Extraction
Whether you like juicy fruits or leafy greens, two speed options give you flexibility for maximum extraction. Use the higher speed for firm foods like carrots, peeled oranges or cucumbers. For softer foods like berries, watermelon or leafy greens, use the low setting. Cold Press Vs. Traditional

For the price, and for the fact this is my very first juicer i've purchased, i'm quite happy. For the price of 3 bottled juices i've been paying from juice bars, I have been able to make at least 6 days worth of juices of the same amount (for TWO people).
If you're skeptical, I'd go with this particular model juicer. It won't break your bank, and as i've said, I'M happy with it and am glad I made the decision to start juicing at home. I, in fact, look forward to it every morning. (:
UPDATE: Jan 14.... this juicer is still standing!!!!
Not nearly as loud as what I expected from some review. It is loud enough that I don't want to use it after anyone in my apartment has gone to bed, but not so loud that I won't use it for a couple of minutes at that time. I also find that putting a padded placemat underneath this works to quiet it down some.
I had another (second-hand) juicer a few months ago that had an 800-watt motor. This one juices faster and leaves a much drier pulp. The first time I juiced some carrots and celery together, I was going to save some of the pulp for the extra fiber. That stuff was so dry that I didn't even bother. I will do the fiber thing later when i have more time.
I used the suggestion of inserting a plastic shopping bag in the pulp container so I didn't even have to rinse that out. Of the other parts, the only one that took some time to clean was the mesh bowl. That included cleaning brush came in real handy for helping that. I now know to soak the mesh bowl in some really warm and slightly soapy water while I am rinsing the other stuff, then cleaning it is a lot easier. I don't even bother putting the parts in the dishwasher.
This is, like all the other juicers I looked at, large enough that I needed to move things around in my tiny kitchen. However, I find that it fits nicely in the corner with my small coffeepot. If I didn't use it so often, it's lightweight enough that I could store it up top a shelf or somewhere else out of the way.
Obviously, I will need to update as time goes on, but for the price, I am more than happy with this juicer. One day, I hope to be able to afford a masticating unit but this one is perfect for my current needs.

So far, I've juiced celery, carrots, apples and cucumbers. No issues at all. Also, just a tip, you can use the leftover pulp to make some vegetable broth or crackers! I've made both and they're great.
We’ve been using the replacement juice for almost a year now and have had no issues with it. It get used at least twice a week but sometimes three or four times. It’s been rock solid and because of this and the way I was treated by the manufacturer when the first machine stopped functioning I have a great deal of respect for Hamilton-Beach. I would not hesitate buying another one of their products because I know I can do so with confidence.
What we’ve discovered that we like:
The catch basin is large enough to handle at least a couple of daily juicing sessions or one session that creates enough juice for three or four days.
The various pars clean easily and the two snaps that hold the juicing section together have worked well, have remained solid
Clean up is easy but I would suggest that you give the stainless steel strainer a good soaking every now and then as some produce can stain or collect on it
We would like to have a two speed model but we bought a one speed, next time we’ll understand the benefit of a two speed unit, soft vegetables are better juiced on a lower speed
On the down side, the catch basin, due to the way its shaped has sharp corners that run top to bottom on each side, this makes scraping the discharged leftovers a little difficult to get out before washing it in a sink.
And thats it folks I have nothing else bad to say about it after almost 11 months of using the machine.
*** Follow up 2 - Received the replacement juicer as promised. This company stands behind its products which I really appreciate. Yes it broke down, your vehicle probably cost you several thousands of dollars and how many times have you had to get it serviced? Everything that's manufactured has the possibility of failing. What's important to me is how the manufacturer deals with failures and these people shine.
** Follow up 1 - Received and e-mail from the HB warranty people today. They said that they would be shipping out a new unit to replace this one and that they would be covering the shipping even though apparently the warranty terms state they do not have to. They want me to cut the cord at the machine and send a picture showing that the unit has been disabled, fair enough. Obviously I'm happy about the juicer being replaced and hope it arrives in less than the 2 weeks stated. So, bumped up the stars.
The unit worked fine during the time it worked. After about 12 days of juicing three times a day it simply shut off and would not start again. As I had tossed out the original box and packaging materials I doubt Amazon will let me return it so I contacted Hamilton Beach via e-mail as instructed on their .ca site. That was three days ago, no reply. To me this is unusual, in the past if I have had problems with appliance manufacturers I get a response within 24 hours, no big deal. Things break, it’s part of life and obviously Hamilton Beach believe they make a great product since they have a good warranty, 3-years but the warranty is useless if you can't get details on how to deal with a broken down device.
