I bought two of the Haynes Cool Dri, and two of their X-Temp performance T shirts. I drive a delivery truck in the hot humid Alabama summers and needed something with moisture wicking cool technology. After trying both I prefer the Cool Dri. They are made of a material that is slick and shiny, similar to silk, while the X-Temp fabric feels slightly fuzzy like brushed cotton. For this reason the Cool Dri feels cooler IMO. Both are long enough to stay tucked into jeans or shorts, the sleeves on the Cool Dri are longer for wearing as an outer shirt, while the X-Temp selves are shorter, more suitable as an undershirt. Both wick sweat away and dry quickly, and don't show salt stains like dark cotton.

Wish I could love it but I don’t.

Product stated it was tag free but it is not. Also some poor stitching noted at the collar area. I’m not a fan of companies that state one thing in the description and it’s not what you receive. Quality is far below the expected level. Sorry, would not recommend.

My husband is a Chef who works 16 hr days in a restaurant kitchen cooking. He is currently working during a heat wave, and these are by far his favorite t-shirts I've ever bought him.
He says they are quite breathable, soft against the skin, and very quick to dry which is important for those who sweat often.
They come in several colors, and he has red, burgundy, navy, royal blue, gray and black and loves them all. The colors don't fade after washing and continue to survive the wear and tear.
He is 5 ft 9 and weighs 245 lbs and is wide shouldered and I bought him size 2XL.
He says they're perfect for construction, physical fitness, or outdoor work as well.

Hanes Men's X-Temp Performance T - Outstanding price and performance!

I have been disappointed with a lot of the performance style undershirts. Some make you feel like you are wrapped in plastic and others have itchy seams. I prefer cotton style undershirts but they can be too heavy during the summer heat. I thought I would give these a try. After wearing them for about two weeks and putting them through three washes they are still true to form. I thought they might be too short and untuck during the work day but they hold fine. The arm holes are just right for movement and the neck size was good. Best of all, no itchy seams. The shirts are a cotton/polyester mix that seems to have a good balance of softness, ventilation and durability. I should mention that I cold water wash these as I purchased the black color and have noticed no fading. I also hang these out on a hangar and they drive out rather fast overnight. Good if you want to hand wash if you are on the road. It would be nice if the sleeves were maybe a half inch longer but I can get by without that. Considering price and quality, I plan on buying more.

My New Favorite Workout Shirts - They're Great!

I cannot speak to these as undershirts, but they are my hands-down favorite workout shirts, and I'm ordering 2 more packs right now.

The fit is very nice - close to the body without being tight or form fitting. For reference, I'm 5'8'', about a 31 waist, average-a little extra build. I ordered a medium. This material is perfect for working out.

When going for long runs or playing basketball for several hours, I used to use the free, rough cotton t-shirts I would get in college and high school, at charity events, etc. However, these are never made of super nice material, and often irritate the skin. I switched to some of the "nicer" athletic/jersey materials, and found a similar problem. Although they were softer, they didn't always feel good against the skin. This material is soft, breathable cotton, that does a good job of wicking me sweat and keeping me dry. (For long distance runners out there - these are great if you experience nipple chaffing when running 6+ miles. Sorry to everyone else who had to read that haha).

In terms of fit, as I mentioned above - they stay close to the body, so they don't look baggy, while still giving some breathing room. The sleeves hit the right length, mid bicep, which is perfect when when lifting and try to clandestinely look at your arms and check them out in between sets. Note that they DO shrink quite a bit in the wash!

I ordered these in Navy Blue, I'm now getting 2 in white and 2 in black to work out in as well. Seriously, get these for work out shirts, you won't be disappointed.

These are great shirts, and you really can't beat the price, but there were a couple issues that bothered me enough to knock off a star:
- I order an XL, and it has a slim fit. As a larger person, I was hoping for a little more room. But I realize that people with a smaller and more athletic physique would prefer this slimmer fit. It still fits well, though, but will probably order a 2X next time.
- I ordered the black shirts, and they are a lint magnet. This material attracts any and all lint, dust, hair, etc.
- The material doesn't seem like the highest quality, and the shirts are bit thin.

Those issues aside, I still really enjoy these shirts. They are breathable and comfortable, and honestly more than I was expecting for the price.

These shirts are very comfortable and the medium fits me about as well as other mediums. I'm an athletic 6'0" and I'd like the waist to be tapered just a tiny bit more.

The neon pink heather looks good, but it's not what I was expecting. In soft light, it appears as pictured. In bright light (5000+ kelvin or bright daylight) it's way more neon than heather.

The three photos show the shirt in three different locations around the house.

These shirts were a pleasant surprise. They fit perfectly (2 XL I'm 6' tall) and they're perfect for the warm summer days. ( I'll admit to having a few extra pounds and the black color enables me to hide that a bit, especially when worn under an open sport shirt).The shirts thankfully are reasonably long which should help eliminate "plumber butt" concerns. They seem well -constructed and are a bargain for the price. I have ordered a few different colors . Great shirts and what a selection !

I’m between sizes in all I wear. I’m 5’10” 200 lbs. I bought XL and it was too big out of the box. I washed them and they were perfect but don’t stay tucked in as well. Keeping but not buying more.

Perfect basic tee!

I purchased these for my (discerning, bordering on insanely picky...) S.O. He generally prefers pricey “branded” t shirts, but needed some plain shirts for work and leisure use that wouldn’t break the bank.
He absolutely freakin LOVES these shirts! He wants a dresser filled with them in all colors! He reports that they are breathable and comfortable even in very humid working conditions, without being a super silky knot that makes him feel self conscious over a clingy fit. About that fit; these shirts hang nicely. They aren’t boxy, or stiff but also manage to avoid being overly drapey or body con. These aren’t frumpy, only good for lounging nor beefcake going to the club. They’re comfortably in between.
We will be ordering many more!

I bought the XL in a few colors (Charcoal grey, black, navy and red.) These are comfortable and have a great elastic around the neck. Mine had a thin black tag with XTemp on it.

Out of the package:
Chest 48.5", Hip 48", Length 31.5", Sleeve 8"

After cold washing and air drying:
Chest 47", Hip 47", Length 30.75", Sleeve 8"

After cold washing and hot drying:
Chest 46", Hip 46", Length 30.25", Sleeve 7.75"

After cold washing and hot drying again:
Chest 45.5". Hip 46", Length 30.25", Sleeve 7.25"

It did not shrink any further on subsequent washings/dryings. The heather gray did pile ever so slightly after several months of washing and drying, while the solid navy did not, so I would recommend drying these tees once or twice for shrinkage and then just air drying it from that point forward.

These are probably the best Hanes tees on the market. Avoid anything that comes in a value pack at your local convenience store.
