Engaging, lyrical almost

My cousin who is working in Uqbar, told me she saw this at the only theater in Tlon and that if it ever comes to the States, I should catch it. She was right. The movie was ever so engaging, poetic almost. The actors were at the top of their form, the script lyrical, and the editing amazing, especially the dramatic use of switching and misplacing scenes chronologically, which kept this viewer's attention. .

This movie has it all.....action, suspense, humor, romance.....roll them together and you have a GREAT movie that holds your attention. I almost never watch a movie more than once, but I am going to watch this one again! The acting was on point and the gay love story aspect was touching; and left you with a nice warm feeling.
I hope they make a series.......the gay James Bond :-)

A Great Movie

The movie was very similar to the book and kept you engaged the whole time. The film was equal parts a love story and thriller. The movie had a great cast that brought life to the characters. I really enjoyed the tasteful backstories because they really gave life to the characters and made the stars come to life. They were not one dimensional like the stars in popular movies. I cannot wait to see what comes next in this modern love/thriller.

VERY DISAPPOINTING

From the cheap unrealistic "natural bond" birght yellow hair of the American (he looks like an unattractive, acne faced 17 y.o., not a CIA agent), who couldn't act at all to the very weak story and script, to the obvious lack of chemistry between the two men, this film was really, really bad. I gave two stars for the hot actor who played the Swed, he was the most believable. Oh, the guy who played the Russian spy, congrats for getting a better role than kitty litter commercials. After your amazingly bad acting in this film, you may want to consider driving a cab as a career.

What a great movie. Love story, suspense and a little humor too. The music was amazing, the actors did a wonderful job and the story line was easy to follow. That makes a perfect movie for me. It kept my interest the whole time. A must see!

A pleasant surprise!

I’m so used to gay films being really bad, poorly made and with shallow characters...not this one!! The characters have great chemistry, the music and cinematography is excellent and the story interweaves a love story, a coming of age story and a spy saga all together! I already watched it twice!

Danish gold with American action. A must see for people who love and people who love adventure.

I lived and worked in Denmark in the 1990s so the trailer for the movie really appealed to me. I was beyond ecstatic when I watched the movie. The characters are interesting, real, relatable and make me want to reach out to them. For the main characters that reaching out is to hug them, for the villain, to smack him. There’s romance, intrigue, betrayal, bureaucracy, love and family. All the elements of a great story well told. The beauty of Denmark and the warmth of the Danish people came shining through and brought back fond memories for me of my time in Denmark. If you love adventure, romance, some very good looking actors acting out hot and adventurous scenes with Europe as the back drop, you’ll love this movie. The internet being what it is, I found, ordered, and thanks to a snowstorm have now read three other stories by the same author. Cade J Hathaway has indeed got the gay Danish James Bond series well started. Really made me miss Denmark. Time to go back and show my husband around that marvelous little country. Watch the movie. Read the book. Read the other books. Watch those movies when they’re ready.
