Harbinger continues the stories of several characters from The Rise of the Peacemakers series, including Tara Mason, Bull, Snowman, Jessica Francis and many others. There is the thrilling rescue of Snowman that leads to a reunion of father and daughter. Some questions are answered by the novel with others raised. Even though this is the last book in The Rise of the Peacemakers the last 40 to 50 pages of the story set up the next story arc in the Peacemaker and 4HU series. I will wait patiently for them to come out as I attempt to figure out what the authors have in mind for the future. Another solid entertaining novel from Kevin Inkenberry. There may even be an invisible talking cat in this book.

More than anything, we finally learn the answer to one of the great mysteries of 4HU—where is Snowman, and what does he know?
The climactic battle is one for the history books. Seriously, the after action needs to be required reading at the merc academies. Unfortunately, it never will be, since it’s all <redacted>.
