What would you do for family? This whole series is a question on how far and to what degree of protection you would go to keep family safe and do the right thing. Families are not together today like they were before the internet and tv. Look at yourself and ask the question how would I react if light went out and our government only cared about themselves and not the people of the United States of America. I have. That's one reason I contiue d to read this series. The author hit a nerve and I hope he will hit one with you.

I have to say, I hated to see this series end. I felt as though I became friends with the characters, and my heart hurt with everything they went through, and endured. But Marcus Battle, wow, just wow. What an amazing character to follow. I would definitely recommend this series. I couldn't stop reading, and was so grateful I came upon it when the whole series was complete so I could go from one to the next. I'm not very patient waiting on the next book. :)
I will be following this Author. I'm about to start his next series that came out in April. Looking forward to another good read! Thanks!

Well... The last few books were a bit of a disappointment to me. But, this book was redemption. Marcus was back to being himself albeit older and Lou was herself. A satisfying ending. Still thought there were more tales to tell with A younger Marcus, but we will never know. What about a Battle prequel? That would be something wouldn't it?

I've read the whole series and have reviewed all of the books. Now it's time for the review of the last book in the series.

Those who have read my prior reviews know that I really like the first 4 books, but not the rest. What do I think about the last book?

Without giving any spoilers, the ending is one of the logical ones the author could have chosen. Personally, I like it.

And that is my point. It should have been put at the end of book number 4. Or maybe into a book number 5, but within the same original storyline.

My recommendation, read the books and decide by yourself. In either case, you have nothing to lose and will in fact gain something.
