I had my first one for about 30 years! This is exactly the same product. I use it all the time. I braise meat before stewing, steam, can, quick cook dry beans.... Everything! My favorite thing is the way the lid locks. It's such a simple integrated design. I recommend purchasing an extra vent thingy (in case you misplace the original) and a couple of extra gaskets. I only had to throw out one cracked gasket in 30 years, so you may not ever need it, but just in case...
It takes a while to learn the way of the steam vent, but you will. I have a gas range, so it's easy to adjust the flame until the pressure cooker is just barely hissing. You do have to give it time to release pressure to check on the doneness of foods. I put a dishcloth over the vent and put the whole thing directly under the vent Hood. This is not recommended because you can get a steam burn, so be careful! I cook a lot and I just love this pot.

When my mother sold her house, she gave me a 1987 5L Futura model which sat in my basement for 3 years. I finally decided to use it and after getting the knack for getting the lid on and off, I really liked how it performed as well as the simplicity of the design. So I went and bought myself the 2L Futura for making smaller amounts of legumes and grains during the week for myself. Compared to a 4.2L Zavor I just purchased, other than lacking a lower pressure mode in the Futura, I feel the Futura is better built and I prefer using the Futura. I almost returned the 2L Futura but changed my mind. I was looking at the Fissler 2.7L and decided that for the money, this is a much better bargain. I also own a Kuhn Rikon 7L Dramatic, the older version. For efficiency, this is far better than either the Zavor or Futura. If Kuhn Rikon has a 2L model that was reasonably priced, I might have considered that over the Futura, but nonetheless I am totally satisfied with this 2L Futura.

Not a great one - regret buying it

Its just a bizarre cooker - i still cant get any sort of regular cooking times for any dish. The handle is super heavy for a cooker of this size. Its a pain to wash. The inner side stains crazy if I saute and make a curry. And i have never seen it properly release pressure like Prestige cookers. It jus buzzes for a few seconds at max amount of time expected. So many times it has just spewed hot liquid out of the whistle and violently let out steam sideways - its my luck I was not around cooking on other burners and escaped some serious burning. It continues to whistle even after I turn off heat. The lid rarely closes without any gap. And I HATE, purely hate, the way the lid fits. The grinding noise it makes while closing and opening is the worst. Its just a regrettable purchase. Will definitely get a simple prestige one soon or stick to trusty old Instant pot.

This is not dishwasher safe. Description doesn’t say that and in its instruction booklet this is mentioned in fewest words possible somewhere in a long paragraph of instructions at some page in almost middle of booklet.

It will loose its all outer paint and shine if washed in dishwasher

Great pressure cooker and seems very safe. This brand uses a different concept then other pressure cookers I have used. The lid goes in the pot and pushes up to seal so it would be impossible to open the lid if any pressure is in the pot. The only thing I would like to see is maybe a video on the correct jingle of the pressure release valve. It’s much quieter then other jingle styles that I feel like I’m not at a high enough heat but it is by design per the manual. Just would like to see a video from the manufacturer showing exactly what they are referring to.

Also putting the lid on is weird at first but you quickly get used to it.

Great little cooker

This is more of a "personal" cooker, sized for smaller contents. To cook for more than the two of us, I'd have to use a larger 3 or 4-liter cooker. But... other than the small size, the quality and design is impressive. This is a first-rate product, easy to use and clean, and very safe. We've used the typical American cookers (Presto, etc) with the outside lugs and rocking regulator for years, and are very comfortable with them. It takes a little time and study to get familiar with this design of interior locking lid and the concealed regulator with its 'whistling' release feature... but I adapted quickly and now am just a comfortable with it as the other style. These are great little cookers. I highly recommend.

I bought the futura pressure cooker with all the hype and in the first use itself it leaks steam from the sides and the pressure is not maintained. I tried adjusting the lid and seal for the lid but none works. The pressure cooker is completely useless as it leaks the steam. I am not able to return the product as I taken it with for travel.
Anyways be careful buying the pressure cooker and make sure it doesn't leak the steam.

My wife ordered two of these (different sizes 5 & 2 liter) and loves. Have been using them for about 2 months and she still loves them. According to her, her kitchen time has been reduced considerably and for the rest of us the food tastes great. They are supposed to be non-stick, and they are for the most part. But since I have to do the washing afterwards you do need to apply a little bit of elbow grease to clean the inside. The caked on food is mostly under the top curve where I assume it splatters and dries out due to the heat. If things change in the future I will update this review.

The safety valve of this cooker lost its lid I don't know, when bought I didn't know thus cooker doesn't whistle, I had my part of hard work and struggles to use it past one years. And after one year and 3 months I lost its safety valve head out of nowhere 🤦🏻‍♀️ will not recommend

I use this little unit surprisingly often - family of two. You should know it does not do Low pressure if that is important to you. The lid takes a bit of experience to fit but instructions are good and there are videos online. The cookbook that comes with the unit has some excellent recipes. Saves water, saves fuel and saves time. Excellent for cruising on a boat.

I got my first pressure cooker as a wedding present 50 years ago and up until the last few years I used it regularly. I have arthritis now though and lifting that old faithful cooker when it's got scalding hot food in it is scary and difficult. But this pot is large enough when cooking for two and still not too heavy to lift. It works beautifully. I was very impressed with the instruction book that came with it as well as the extensive user manual and cookbook. It is easy to follow, and has recipes with color photos and tips.
I must admit this cooker has not spent even one minute hidden away in a cupboard. It is so intriguing and different that I leave it out on display when not in use. I love this cooker.
I can wholeheartedly and with no reservations recommend both this pressure cooker and the company. It was delivered to me ahead of schedule and it has pleased me every day since.
