Aidan Liam Cavanaugh is a pretentious name, not me at all, until you understand the meaning.

What a great addition to the Boston Brawlers Hockey Romance series with characters you feel like you know and root for and an incredible story that quickly captivated me and had me glued to the book until I read the last word. I loved the attraction and off-the-charts chemistry between Aiden Liam Cavanaugh, who plays defense for the Boston Brawlers and Allie "Pink" Pinkerton when they are stranded together on Nantucket while taking care of three energetic puppies. This enemies-to-lovers romance was such a fun read and the surprise element added to my reading pleasure. Ms. Queen never disappoints whatsoever and I look forward to the next book from this gifted author. I received an advance reader copy of "He Has MVP" and am voluntarily leaving my review. I liked it so much, I purchased a copy for my keeper library.

Aiden and Pink’s story is an interesting read as neither one of them are fond of the other. Aiden has the reputation of being biggest player on the team, while Pink doesn’t have time for a relationship nor does she do one-night stands. So when Ryan and Chelsea need someone to watch their pups while they leave for their vacation, Aiden volunteers with Pink being pushed to help (and snide remarks of Aiden not being able to handle the task).

Aiden is known as the most valuable player of the Boston Brawlers, and he makes certain to live up to the reputation. He has a girl for the night, has his fun for the evening then never calls them again. For what? He doesn’t want a relationship when he’s having so much fun. That is until Pink doesn’t believe he’s capable of dog sitting on his own but will he prove her wrong or will feelings begin before it’s too late?

Allie “Pink” Pinkerton doesn’t have time for anyone else except building her own empire. Even taking time away for one of her sorority sisters wedding was time away she couldn’t afford. Let alone time for a man, if she did, one-night stands weren’t her thing. So why when Aiden volunteered to dog sit does she get pushed to join, three puppies for one man is a lot. But, as much of a player he’s known to be, doesn’t hide that he’s an extremely attractive hockey player nor her building desires for him.

Aiden and Pink’s story of being caught on Nantucket, with no power nor internet, couldn’t have come at a worse time. Except, even enemies can’t hold grudges forever when there’s so much desire and attraction looming over their heads. There’s excitement with every turn of the page with a lot of intimate banter between the two, that makes for some passionate scenes that will warm your heart. Prepare yourself for a bumpy ride along with a storm of passion and an ending that will leave you feeling overwhelming satisfied! But, what else could you honestly expect from the Queen!?!?

Hot Enemies To Lovers Romance

I started reading this book and I could not put it down! Aiden and Pink’s story is a great story about two people who have no interest for a long-term relationship and certainly not with each other. Aiden is focused on hockey and Allie (Pink) has no time for distractions. Ryan and Chelsea need someone to watch their dogs while they go on vacation. Aiden volunteers and Pink is pushed into helping. Aiden is known as the most valuable player of the Boston Brawlers, and he plays the women also. He hooks up with a new girl and then never calls them again. Allie “Pink” Pinkerton does not have time for anyone except her business. She did not like to take time off and she was not interested in one-night stands.
When a hurricane hits Nantucket things get interesting. The teasing between them will make your heart happy. When Pink hears him on a phone call with another person, she gets mad, but in the end, Aiden will prove to Pink that she’s the one he wants. I recommend this book !

A hockey player who dreams of building bridges and a workaholic woman, who works 7 days a week, agree to dog and house sit for their mutual friends on Nantucket. But they didn't realize that a really bad storm is on the way. After they realize that they are in a tough spot, they find out that they can't get off the island. Oh, and they are trying to deny that they are really hot for each other. Geez, what might happen?

This is an exciting book with 3 rambunctious puppies and two people who are super attracted to each other. Wonderful Story!!

Always the one with the quick comeback or witty reply, Aiden is so much more than he seems. A top-tier pro hockey player, he's been a player with the ladies as well. He's known Allie 'Pink' Pinkerton for a while and despite his attraction to her, he has always held himself back. He knows she's so much more than a one-night stand - she's independent, intelligent and driven to succeed. She's also really good at rejecting any of his advances.

When Pink and Aiden get stuck during a hurricane while dog-sitting, their enforced isolation leads to the pair getting to see each other beneath the superficial faces they show to the public. While Aiden appears carefree and free of many responsibilities, he is actually hard working, intelligent and caring. Pink seems like a stick in the mud workaholic, but will do anything for her friends and is willing to take risks to help those she cares about.

Their fight to dismiss their attraction for each other fails, but will their newly found intimacy last beyond the storm?

This enemies to lovers sports romance was a pleasant read. I found Pink to be a bit over the top with her poor treatment of Aiden and unwillingness to give him a chance. As Aiden's character evolves, Ms. Queen easily develops Aiden from a two-dimensional womanizer into a man of substance with a good heart. A wonderful male lead.

Four stars for this hockey romance.
