Light and dark. Strength from weakness. Kindness from meanness. Isabel suffers untold horrors, and yet from all the suffering, she arises. Her hero appears to be unworthy of her; however, it is ignorance that keeps him from making better choices. Through hell and back, they emerge to their much deserved happily ever after.
This is the first book I've read by Rebecca Ruger, though I can assure you it won't be the last. Ms Ruger is an excellent story teller and her characters come to life on the (virtual) pages. You will share in their triumph and their pain, and in the end you might shed a few tears.
I just can’t get enough of Ms Ruger. She writes with such depth and skill. It’s so easy to fall into her writing and never want it to end. I love it when story’s become like friends to you. You get so deep into it, tht it makes you smile, cry. You can see and feel exactly what is detailed In The story as if you’re actually a part of it. She really brings the characters to life. And this story is so moving. So emotional. It starts out so pitiful with those few souls left behind, abandoned to the castle, feeling they have nothing else in the world. Living with ghost. Just trying to get by; not evn aware how desperate they are. Not evn sure what to do next. The betrayal so treacherous, tht you only hope tht the heroines can survive. Keep it coming please. I’m only afraid I’ll run out of Ms. Rutgers story’s before the Dec 2021 release. I am so looking forward to tht series as well. Gives me hope.
