From the Back Cover
In our present-day world, evil dominates the headlines and political chaos appears to reign. It seems unlikely that good can ever triumph over evil.
But God's vision for the future is not bleak. In fact, it's full of hope! At this pivotal moment, He is readying a heavy rain of revival--and He wants you to be part of it.
Inthis powerful book, Kris Vallottonshows how God is searching for men and women who, like you, long for an infusion of boldness, who long to bring Kingdom transformation to the world. You'll experience the power that comes when we pray, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." With excitement and wisdom, Kris shows how this power is every bit as accessible to us today as it was in Jesus' time--and he gives you the keys to unlocking it. If we harness it, the Church can--and will--become a catalyst for miraculous change in the world.
God's heavy rain is coming, and there is more reason than ever to hope.
Discover how to become a vessel that catches the downpour of the Spirit--and help release God's Kingdom like a flood.
"You will be challenged, shocked and, if open-minded, beneficially stretched."--Jack Taylor, president, Dimensions Ministries

Heavy Rain helped me understand why so many churches today, though well-meaning, are ineffective at carrying out the Great Commission. When they come into balance with the five-fold ministry of Ephesians 4, then all of the work can flow as God intended.
This book is worth your investment in both money and time. I know that I will read it again to glean all of its treasure.
I recommend this book to any believer hungry for what God has in store for us and seeing Heaven come to Earth. Anyone who feels that we were called for more than to sit and wait for the world to end.
This gives such a wide perspective with hard work and research poured into it, yet easy to read and understand and catch the heart of what is written.
To me it is a book of answers, although the author humbly describes it as a journey to answers.
Here is a paragraph for you:
" I have decided to think for myself. I am not rebellious or independent, nor do I want to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. But I will not let Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Piers Morgan, Ed Schultz, Bill O'Reilly, or anyone else for that matter, think for me. It is not that I don't appreciate other people's opinions, I really do learn a lot from others. It's just that I'm no one else's puppet. I have been commanded to arise and shine, not arise and reflect ( IS 60:1) I have been called to be a voice not an echo..........I will not settle for becoming a cheap imitation of another instead of an original of myself..... On the other hand it is not my desire to become a maverick or a heretic who exchanges the solid foundation of time tested truth for the test tube of isolation. I will therefore allow the Holy Spirit to lead me, guide me , and correct me. I will submit to true leadership and remain moldable, teachable, humble. I will love passionately, live zealously, work wholeheartedly, laugh joyfully, and be completely spent at the end of my life. I will walk powerfully, pray unceasingly, give extravagantly and serve God with my whole being.
Just try to walk away without being stirred up, encouraged, and empowered with great revelation about how to flood your world with God's transforming power.
