I intended to buy this for our 1y old boy with the intention of introducing him to the world of animals via pictures, I don't know the publisher's original concept but the animal pictures used are too realistic which in my opinion too scary for a 1 year old or even for a 2-3 years old, on top of that they're trying to include artistic feature into the design which end up showing only close up part of the animal such as the head, etc and lose the whole intro purpose. I would recommend people to just skip this book and find something else that is more suitable for kids.
