The original story becomes flashbacks as all the players work their way through the lingering emotions that plague them even though it's three years in the past.
The memories are triggered at a party where Hope reads a story she's written. Oh the tears.
Once home Griff and Miranda realize they haven't really moved forward, and Miranda, well she's still keeping secrets from him.
Even with the problems that surface about the train crash, there is more going on now that Miranda needs to tell Griff.
Plenty of suspense combined with the emotional retelling of the crash make this book a page turning read.
There's also plenty of heat in this story as their love for each other and their daughter just shines through.
This book is a deeper look into Griffin and Miranda’s relationship and how they met – so good!
I enjoyed how Griffin pursued Miranda. It is a very romantic way for a guy to keep putting himself out just so that once a week he can keep spending time with a woman, in a nonchalant way, that he is attracted to, before asking her out. I also enjoy Miranda’s take charge attitude.
I love how all of these characters, after sharing a great traumatic event, are forever bonded together because of it. It shows their deep love and loyalty that these certain few share and that others never will.
This story will have you sucked right in from the very beginning and you won’t put it down until you have finished it...who needs sleep?!
It’s intense, emotional, nail-biting, heroic and heartwarming...oh, and HOT! I loved it!
Miranda has a past that comes into play that causes stress and worry, brings and memories to the forefront and makes it clear that Miranda needs to come clean to Griff.
Caitlyn 's style of writing has you turning pages to see how the characters react to each situation she has to gripping the book one minute then has you grabbing a tissue and then by the end you're cheering.
Caitlyn 's Black Dawn and Midnight Delta series are ones that you don't want to miss reading and rereading. Each are filled with wonderful characters, situations that only hero's can fix...💕 Now waiting patiently for the next Seal💕
In this story, we learn how Miranda and Griff met and what they had to deal with that made their love much stronger. Though, Miranda is harboring a big secret, one that is becoming dangerous. I loved that several of the previous characters and some secondary characters were also in this story. I wish the story had been a little longer so we could meet Giana and I wanted to see Miranda pregnant again and Griffover protective with the new baby on the way. I hope the next book in this series comes out soon.
Miranda and Griff are perfect for each other. Her Type A personality will drive him insane and his Alpha protectiveness will drive her insane. They work well together but they are both keeping secrets from the train accident. How they finally bring them to light three years later was awesome. The way they talked about it and how they were feeling at the time. But Miranda is still keeping a secret from her past and thinks she can handle it on her own until she can't. Then she finally tells Griff and he goes all alpha-protective with her. Will she be able to keep their daughter and herself alive until Griff and the team can get to them? Will Griff and the team be able to get there in time before Miranda and Livvie get hurt?

I like the use of the flashbacks to tell the 'back story' of how Miranda & Griff met & think this was very cleverly done. There was plenty of romance, action and intrigue as well as enough appearances from the usual Black Dawn / Midnight Delta crew. I also loved seeing a bit more of nearly grown-up Billy - he is so going to break hearts & do hope he gets his own story eventually.
I have to confess Miranda isn't one of my favourite heroines but can't quite put my finger on why, I love that she is strong, intelligent, sexy and definitely take charge but maybe just a bit too closed off? However it didn't detract from the excellent story which I throughly enjoyed & didn't want to end.
