Lydia Hildalgo has been engaged to Clint Archer for five years. He’d been the love of her life since he’d carried her on his back out of the Mexican jungle. She knew the risk of loving a Navy SEAL, and she’d been happy to take it.
After a harrowing mission, Clint wakes up with no memory of what happened, and a brain that doesn’t feel like his own, he doesn’t know what to do, or who to turn to.
When one of his teammates needs his brand of help, he can’t turn him down, but he doesn’t know if he’s the same man he once was. With his mood swings, can he be trusted to do the job? And what about Lydia? What happens when the man she loved with all her heart, is not who he once was? Is there any way that they can find a way back to one another and finally create the future of their dreams?
This is a stand-alone, but having read book two, Lydia and Clint’s first story in the Midnight Delta series, will enhance your enjoyment.

The situation gets exciting in a dangerous way when the rebel forces arrive early and the SEAL team need to get the Americans out of town ASAP before they are found. Clint attempts to divert the enemy guns away from the SEALs’ escape route out of town when he is the one who ends up getting injured and things going all to hell.
I love this intense storyline with the breath catching in your throat as you turn the pages and read as fast as you can to see what is happening next! I appreciate the determination of Clint’s team getting him out of the danger zone despite him being unconscious and injured. They also manage to get the Americans out of the volatile situation and on their way home. I sympathize with Clint’s confusion and lack of memory while in the hospital in Germany, but I was rooting for the doctors and nursing staff that had to deal with his uncontrolled anger and outbursts.
Clint has a long road to recovery from his traumatic brain injury to get him well enough to rejoin the team which has him on edge. I just shake my head at some of the simple things he does that don’t help his recovery at all. I enjoyed the banter between Drake and Clint as well as when Lydia was there to chew him out for not taking better care of his injury. Lydia sounds like a real ball-buster when she gets fired up or is scared out of her mind for her man. I like her!
This story is full of danger, a serious brain injury compromising Clint’s mental capacity, emotional as well as the physical trauma he suffered and his rocky relationship with Lydia. There are a lot of little tidbits dropped that make you think and some make you smile. I enjoyed this revisit to Clint and Lydia’s story. They both show a great strength of character and a devotion to each other that carries them through the difficult times. A real page-turner!
Lydia and Clint had a previous book, but you don't have to read it, you can.
Both of them were happy in their relationship, but during one of the missions Clint and his team is, he is getting injured.
Storyline is amazing.

I loved Clint and Lydia in previous books and also enjoy Ms. O'Leary's writing with strong yet loveable characters that I would really like to have a friends.
Clint is injured in a mission and this effects his personality, ride along the journey of his recovery and the problems/pressures this puts on not just him but also his partner, friends and colleagues, it is an honest view with no magic wand and all problems are 'fixed' within 2 weeks, this is a strap yourself in and endure the rocky ride , all the highs, lows and in-between.
This book rung several emotions from me as the story progressed and I have to admit to shedding a tear or two, brilliant writing and an engrossing storyline
