a jewish kid from Detroit,. I spent my childhood studying the great comics of the 30's forward,.. Billy Crystal has fit into this category for a long time, I remember once working out at Golds gym in Venice,.. a guy I recognized all to well was working out in my little corner for the past few days and this one day I started a dialog with him it was Gregory Hines,.. little did I know he was fighting an illness that could not be won.. and was soon gone.. I had to feel for Billy because they where very entertaining together,............................... In this Movie I found the writing to be wonderful however some moments to be a bit cold, even slow,.. but it would not deter from the point. There are 5 relationships in this story - true friendship from a chance meeting, A strained Father Daughter , a father son missing substance, and a grand child evolving into an adult from a most precarious cocoon... and a relationship with a past loved one.. above all there is the relationship (S) you find yourself identifying with most in this Hilarious and thoughtful story. Dementia playing a supporting roll ultimately steals the show. and if you have ever had to deal with this,. you know how rare happy moments can be. this is just a simply wonderful movie not to be missed.

a side of Crystal comedy.

I haven’t seen Billy Crystal in a decent movie in quite some time but HERE TODAY changed that. Aside from some unnecessary foul language, this is a very fine film telling a story that will resonate with many. Not only does dementia effect lots of families but the need to heal broken relationships is far more prevalent. This project addresses both issues in a respectful, honest and gently humorous manner.

Not your Friday night laugh fest film but an heartwarming, conversation sparking relevant portrayal of a vibrant, successful senior, faced with impending loss and his search for forgiveness and a peaceful conclusion for his life, HERE TODAY🍿

This was an amazing story of pure love and connection without an agenda. It shows that people who have, seemingly, nothing in common can help bring joy to each other's worlds.
I can relate.
