The Thom Hartmann Hidden History Series
The Hidden History Series includes ten paramount and timely books that break down the biggest obstacles of today, placing them in historic context and providing real, tangible calls to action both for individuals and society at large. Each book concisely addresses these pressing current issues and offers a set of solutions with “roadmaps” for individuals and communities to follow to create a more equitable and prosperous economy and a safer, more just society for all.
Thom lays out the ways in which inequality in America has shifted over the last 50 years and identify a handful of sensical, powerful solutions that address these issues at different levels, such as getting money out of politics, addressing social despair and economic inequality, strengthening democratic institutions of governance, and fighting fear.

“This engaging, brutally honest, and meticulously documented book is a must-read for every American who recognizes that our common future depends on achieving the democracy we thought we had but never did.”
—David Korten, author of When Corporations Rule the World and Change the Story, Change the Future
“In this timely and important book, Thom Hartmann challenges us to fight for our fundamental right as American citizens to vote—a right that is not guaranteed in the Constitution but should be. For far too long, this basic principle of our democratic republic has been under constant attack, largely by corporate interests that literally profit from voter suppression. This book is an indispensable manual for waging—and winning—civic warfare. Use it!”
—David Bender, Political Director, Progressive Voices Network
“Is Thom Hartmann psychic or what? His book on voting is eerily prescient and right on time as usual. A grateful nation thanks you, Thom!”
—Stephanie Miller, comedian and talk show host

If you are looking to get some validation on building some hate against people for the group they're in or their great great grandfathers were in, or to fan the flames burning the inner cities, this is the book for you. Much like Serbs need stories about a 1389 battle in Kosovo to hate people. I had to take a shower and go look for a biography on Mother Theresa after 50 pages.
should piss you all off. The political machinations documented crack the cogs and gears of our democracy. This is
an illumination of the disingenuous nature of evil, of people whose will to to conquer and govern others disregards
the principals established by the mechanisms these people suborn. Read the book.
