Book 3 of the epic series that's earned more than 3,000 worldwide five-star reviews and has sold thousands of copies! Give in to glamour and continue the thrilling and deeply romantic journey into the Hidden world that readers are calling “addictive”, “riveting”, “magical”, and "captivating from the first chapter.”
Ryann is torn between two kings - two brothers. Lad, the king of the Light Court, is her first love. Nox, the new king of the Dark Court, came through when she needed him most and won her heart. But Lad has revealed a secret to Ryann that devastates her and tears at her loyalties. And though Nox and Lad are fierce rivals for the girl they both love, an even bigger problem threatens them all.
The unsuspecting human population of the world hangs in the balance with an approaching war between Dark and Light. Powerful fan pods have transformed the face of the country. The Dark Council's plan is almost accomplished, and the Dark Court is nearly ready to reveal itself and take back control of the world, as it was in the old days, before the history books were written. Ryann can't believe the Nox she knows and loves would allow that to happen, though he is now deeply entrenched in the Dark Court and seems to be changing by the day.
Is his love for Ryann strong enough to give him the strength to stand against his people and their plot? Or should she side with Lad and the Light Court, who who appear to have the welfare of humans in mind? Lad is fighting the looming danger as hard as he can, fully involved now in the world of Elven politics he tried so hard to avoid.
And what can Ryann - only a partial Fae - personally do? She'll have to learn to balance her own Dark and Light sides - and somehow make the right choice between two tempting Fae guys - or face the consequences of a wrong decision eternally and watch her family and the entire human world fall under the oppression of the Dark Court.

So, I had to sleep on it before I reviewed this one because I had such mixed feelings. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I went through probably every emotion, which is the sign of a good story but I just feel like the author writes a book without really thinking of how the next book is going to go and gives you whiplash. In book 2 we watched the relationship between Ryann and Nox grow, without Lad around. I ended up loving them together more and was happy Lad stepped back so it could grow. I feel like Lad is the "safe choice" which to me translates to boring but I know many people love safe. It reminded me of Vampire Diaries Elena's choice between safe reliable Stefan or Damon who loved her absolutely and had his flaws but he brought passion and depth to her life, opened her mind to new things. In this book we find out it was all a lie. It was all a glamour and wasnt real at all on either side and you dont even have time to recover before Nox is off marrying V (whom I don't feel one way or the other about). I guess I feel we shouldn't have had a whole book watching them blossom, maybe half a book and then realize its a glamour so you're not as invested in them. That's really my only complaint with the book but it's a big deal to me in the long run. She does end up back with Lad and everyone is happy for each other and blissful (I do love ryann and nox still have bestie type of banter. Made it lessen the blow a little.) But I was over here like "Excuse me?! I'm still mad over here. Yall cant he happy yet!"
So other than the relationship aspect I obviously dont like, the storyline was solid and interesting. I liked having an actual villain with a face, instead of an in general bad guy. There were lots or twists and turns that began in book 2 and unraveled here. So, while this was probably my least favorite book of the series I did still enjoy it and will be continuing on to book 4.
I liked how things turned out with the story lines the trilogy spun. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development of our main characters (along with a couple of minor ones).
I will say that there were several questions about the aftermath of everything that were left unsaid in this final book. I would ask the author to please strongly consider writing an epilogue to update this book with at the end. There were just so many unanswered questions.
Some of the questions I had were (SPOILER ALERT):
How did things go with Ryann's mother after the ending? Did she get better? Did she remember anything? Now that Ryann & her grandmother were welcome at Altum & would be visiting there often (and Ryann likely living there at times), will they let Ryann's mother in on the family's secret heritage? What will she know about Davis & all he did to them as well as how does she feel/react about the news if she's informed?
How did the Light Elves react to the news of Ryann's & Lad's engagement? Will she be accepted as Queen? Will they announce that she's only 1/4 human?
What will they do about Davis' right hand man, Audun? He is obviously just as bad (possibly worse?) as Davis.
What about Ryann's adopted father's relationship with her mother? If he was glamoured accidentally, will their relationship fizzle out once he begins drinking saol water as well? Or is he truly in love with her mother? Regardless of if their love is true or not, how will his behavior change once the glamour has worn off?
How can Ryann choose a side when both reside as one inside of her?
With her mother MIA and her biological father hellbent on enslaving the human population she will need to make her mind up fast.
Unfortunately with her heart on the fritz due to unresolved emotional baggage between her and her love interests, she's wound up in a pickle.
Traveling from Mississippi to LA to Boston she has her work cut out for her.
Negatives:
The book starts out with Lads perspective- each book prior has been through Ryann's eyes which throws the reader for a loop.
The book ends too sudden as if the author had a particular word count target and she wasn't allowed to write over.
The relationship tension between Nox and Ryann felt sped up and unresolved.
Warning: Not a stand-alone book, book 1 Hidden Deep, and Book 2 Hidden Heart must be read to understand the complexity of Ryann's emotions.
Sexuality:
hot and steamy- kissing and touching.
Recommended for:
Paranormal romance lovers
