'With their usual warmth and honesty, Jo and Sally tackle tricky subjects head-on, giving sound advice and wisdom that is firmly rooted in real life. This book is a joy to read' Ali Martin, Soul Survivor
Society has no problem telling women what they should be. It determines their dreams and expectations, and dictates how they should feel about their image, relationships and career. So how do we do life - friendship, money, men and the rest - with wisdom and integrity? As Christian women, where is our place in today's culture? How do we embrace life and live it to the full?
In HIGH HEELS AND HOLINESS Jo Saxton and Sally Breen get to grips with all these questions, giving a friendly, practical guide to being a faithful disciple in today's world - high heels and all.
Many women are crying out for a mentor, and Jo and Sally's amazing book HIGH HEELS AND HOLINESS fills that gap.―Ali Martin, Soul Survivor
This is a wonderful book by two wonderful women. Jo and Sally write with honesty, authority, kindness and godliness, and I believe this book will be an invaluable asset for any woman longing to develop her relationship with God and walk in his ways in her everyday life.―Mike Pilavachi, Soul Survivor --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

For me a key theme is about living while waiting hence the title of this review. This is a powerful message especially, but not only, for younger women who feel that "stuff", including serving God, has to wait until they have achieved a job, spouse, house etc. Another key theme is about embracing feminity while placing highest value on holiness and navigating the tensions that can arise.
I appreciate any book that contains honesty and has a ring of truth to it and this is what I found in this book. There are questions left for the reader to answer, some of which are far from easy, but there are principles to apply if time is taken to think them through.
It would be an excellent book club, or discussion starting, read for a group of women who want to explore the themes as well as being an excellent read for individuals.
