Great alpha/omega romance

I love every Mina Carter book I've ever read. She has such imagination and depth to all her stories. This particular romance was very fast paced and I love that in a book. When an author is this good you don't need a lot of back story. You just start it and you're totally invested right away. The characters are so great, Bane is everything you love in an Alpha Romance but with a tender side. I feel like some A/O romances just go for a brutal, animalistic alpha. Not this author, she combined the tenderness and protectiveness along with the domination you crave so beautifully. Willow as an omega was tough and mouthy. I absolutely loved her strength and determination. Put these two together and you have a great Alpha/Omega romance you can't put down. I'm going back to this series to read more as soon as I finish this review. It's that good!

I was enjoying the story up to the last 3rd though the tension b/t H and h could've been written better. Now, the part that made me want to throw the book at the wall -
**SPOILER ALERT**
When Bane finally realized (and I mean what took him so long??) that Willow was Omega, he decided to "punish" her (for a choice she made about her OWN BODY and BEFORE she even met him) through violence and I'm not going to politely say this was dub.con because it definitely wasn't, there was no con- in a car parked in the hospital parking garage after they just rescued her sister from kidnappers who were trying to sell her - and then told her he wasn't knotting her because she "was a untrustworthy liar" or whatever. Oh, then he leaves her there, at night, alone, knowing her status because he's so sore about being lied to? Considering all of the instances he was shown the reality of how difficult life was for non-alphas, he might as well have shined a spotlight on her walk home. That whole behavior was unforgivable in my mind. Sure he can be upset that she lied to him and that she was hiding her true self from him but based on what he had said previously, betas and alphas could have children so it's not as if he couldn't have already had a life with her, he was just so worried that he was going to somehow find his precious Omega (though kept saying that was never going to happen) and there would be all these problems etc etc etc. Then he finds out and all those worries should have gone away and instead he puts her in actual danger. What a worthless monster, truly.
To top it off, because this is a so-called HEA, Willow still wants him after the trauma he inflicted and the immediate horrendous trauma she faces after he abandons her, the author has to sell out her heroine by making this garbage alpha the only person she wants and needs. Please.
Had the author kept her h with the same character strength she'd had before being found out, willow never would've forgiven Bane. Logically, keeping in the dynamic universe, this wasn't her last only chance at a HEA because if Bane's partner hadn't been lost, they would have shared her. Stands to reason if Omegas are so rare, Willow would've had her pick of many a suitable sutor, or could've gone right back to suppressing.

As the story progresses, they uncover conspiracies and corruption and go through so many exciting and action-packed scenarios that it's impossible to stop reading at any point in the book. any fan of Mina Carter will tell you that her books are full of action, steam, and compulsively addictive characters. This book is exactly all of these things and more. Bane and Willow are a compelling couple, even as they fight the compulsion to be together, they are combustible and you'll want to stay up all night to read this book, lol, I know I did!

I absolutely loved this book! The emotions were as intense as the action and danger adding an edge that kept me enthralled with every turn of the page. The characters were phenomenal and I was completely vested in their HEA before the end of the first chapter. I love how defiant she is and willing to risk it all to live on her own terms, and he is fantastically alpha male and everything that entails. They go through so many highs and lows as they make their way to the end, and then get completely blindsided by a twist no one saw coming. This book was amazing and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

If you are new to this series I would recommend you read the first book in the series "Omega Destiny"

In this one, the relationship between the hero and heroine just didn’t resonate at all, and the ending was disappointing.
