Keegan-michael kay makes that kid look like buster Keaton.
(If he were writing this review he would now proceed to tell you who buster keaton was by listing a few facts from his wikipedia page, and then describe several of his best known bits in minute and excruciatingl unfunny, robbing them of all humor).
When he describes the characters and lazzi (bits) associated with Commedia d’elle arte, he pretty much recites the wikipedia page verbatim; listing the lazzi in the same exact order.
Kay assumes his listeners have never seen any of the movies or shows he describes.
When he talks about a certain film, he assumes his audience has never heard of it, and then proceeds to tell them to go set it, but first acts out several highlights and then explains why they are funny.
One of first rules of comedy is to trust the material. I get the feeling hecdoesn’t.
