The acting is good, but the story just veers all over the place.

So, spoilers ahead, obviously:

First it kind of meanders along with nothing happening, then it goes through the usual horror movie tradition of everyone doing the dumbest possible thing they could do so that they can get killed off. They bring a bunch of "experts" for this expedition but then everyone just wanders around in the woods. Why did they need a primate specialist for this?

Then for the last 15 or so minutes it super abruptly and randomly turns into this gross, disturbing mess of gore, complete with some backwoods hermits eating people, dancing with corpses, and alluding to keeping the surviving woman alive to rape. It feels like this drags on forever and it's such a weird, sharp change of tone.

Sucks !!!

I am so disappointed. The movie started out good but about two thirds of the way through inter the same old inbred back woods cannibal crazies. This movie went from a four to a zero in sixty seconds. I really wished I had read the reviews first. This movie is awful, it's cliche to the point of laughable unfortunately its not funny in any way.

Started off fine, but got weird in the end
Verified purchase
The movie started pretty well, but near the end, it started to get very weird. There was a whole sudden shift in the plot, and they just rushed everything in the end instead of having some sort of a build-up. Everything just started to take a turn for the worse once people started dying and getting attacked. I was still confused about if there is a creature or not because near the end, you see a beast, but you also see people dressed up as bigfoot. You also see the terrible guys cannibalizing and dancing around with corpses. The movie went from very little gore to a ton of it within minutes. It could have been better if there were better explanations of who the bad guys were.

this was a HOAX,LOL

Ok, ok, I gave it a 3 for the last 15 minutes of the film, ....I actually bought it instead of renting...sorry I did 'cause I probably won't watch again except to scare the grand kids. I didn't finish my popcorn nor my beer, so it wasn't an edge of your seat thriller. It had it's moments but few and far between, and left a lot of loose ends...maybe they count on a sequel, I hope not. Just rent it if you just have to see it, or wait until it's free on Prime. The first 75% of the film was like sitting thru an on scene docu-drama and then the last 25% was like it shifted into another movie...like way out in left field!! Which wasn't a bad thing, but you'll be sitting there with your mouth open going WTHeck did I just watch?

Garbage cannibal movie disguised as bigfoot movie.
Verified purchase
I was expecting to watch a bigfoot movie, but it was a disgusting gross cannibal movie with explicit scenes. The description was totally misleading, and I would never have wasted a penny of my money or a second of my time for such a piece of garbage video. If the description was accurate, there would have been less of a viewing audience. I would give it minus stars if I could.

Not bad

First, I liked this movie overall. Some good acting and some characters that you find stupid and despicable at the same time. Your typical movie characters, I should say. This movie lost 2 stars because of the last 10-15 minutes. It descended into a weird "Texas chainsaw massacre'" dinner scene at the end, and totally destroyed what could have been an above average "Bigfoot" movie. It amazes me to watch a movie that just crashes and burns in the last minutes of it. One just has to ask, "what were they thinking?" when you see the last part of a movie.
This was a typical, but better than average film that just went bad at the end and ruined the entire movie. I would still recommend to others to see this one, but to not be disappointed by a weak and chaotic ending.

I've seen so many bigfoot movies that I forget which ones go south in language, morals, and story. This movie contains graphic blood, gore and violence.

I remembered the gist of the story and the ending. I had forgotten how unwholesome and creepy the boss is for whom nothing matters, including the death of those around him because financial greed and fame were his priorities.

I remembered the blonde is a brat, but I had forgotten what dirty mouths she, the boss, and one other guy had. This spoils the movie for me especially when they kept using God's Holy name in such a loose and vile way.

I got to the halfway point and had to stop the video.

If you want to waste your money renting this film go right ahead. Apparently, there are a lot of people who liked it. I thought it totally stunk and was a waste of my money and time. I guess I have to ignore the rating from now on...almost a four? Hardly.
