It’s a beautiful story of a life long relationship
I loved the entire story as I watched it as a movie as part 2. Part 1 did an excellent job presenting the beginnings of her life, from servant girl, through hard times, including a life long relationship with a male friend, played by Liam Neeson. However I never read the book which I must now do, since my VHS of it is gone.

Nothing says excess like the 1980s. This gem has an atrocious script and some remarkably bad acting from most of the cast.

If I could give it a 0
I couldn't eve get through the first episode - the acting is horrible and the story line/characters are hard to follow.

beautiful story
Although it doesn't cover everything in the book, it gives you a basic characterization of the subjects
