Holiday Rescue by Rebecca Zanetti Anna Albertini Files series book 3.5. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. Contemporary romance novella. Heather is stuck in the mountains with a broken ankle. Quint and rescue dog Zena save Heather from the storm and then stick around a bit longer.
The perfect little romance. A hero that saves the day. Instant attraction. A bit of humor to lighten the load and a bit of craziness to keep it all interesting. Plus Nonna to the rescue with her wooden spoon. Happy for now with a promise for forever.
“We can handle this,” she said to the white dish in her hands.”
***** Rating: 5 stars Steam: 2 flames Genre: Romantic Suspense / Humor ***** This short novella really packed a punch, or a wallop with a wooden spoon... Quint, cousin to Anna Albertini has had his share of bad luck with women...I mean come on he dated Jolene in book 3. When he is sent out to rescue a hiker, little does he know his world is about to change.
Heather has had rough time of things and she is trying to get her life back on track, but when she meets Quint there are sparks and definite interest, but sometimes you can meet the right person at the wrong time... that is unless you have three crazy cousins and a Nonna involved to help you make it the right time.
Both Quint and Heather have more issues than either of them realize and some of those issues may even doom their budding friendship/relationship... or worse end it before it gets started. You will never see the twists coming, but when they hit you, you will just sit there slack jawed wondering "how did I miss that?"
Holiday Rescue is a must read and a perfect addition to the Albertini series!
This is such a sweet read! A spin-off from The Anna Albertini Files, it’s a quick story for Albertini cousin, Quint, who has appeared in the series, but this book can be read as a standalone – just beware that there will be a lot of characters that you don’t know.
Quint is a man who lives his life free and easy. He is a smokejumper and rescue expert, and together with his service dog, he lives a happy life, except that he’s been unable to meet a woman who accepts him and the danger of his job.
Heather is new to town. She has just inherited her grandmother’s house, and she’s embracing a new start. But things don’t go according to plan when she has a bad fall on a mountainside, and has to be rescued – by none other than handsome Quint who literally carries her down a mountain on his back.
It’s insta-attraction, and there’s great flirting and banter. And then Quint’s well-intentioned family get involved, inserting themselves into Heather’s life and encouraging the two of them together.
But Heather is running from something, and when the threat follows her to town, it adds suspense to the story. It also allows us to see Quint as the hero, yet again (*swoon*). But Zanetti manages to keep the story lighthearted, with a sense of fun and excitement. It has a similar feel to the other books in the series, and I enjoyed the fast-paced chaos of it all.
And in the centre of it all, Quint and Heather find their way to each other in an honest, open, chemistry-filled romance that is just gorgeous.
I really enjoyed this read. It’s a quick one, but it kept me engaged, and I can’t wait for more from the series.
I love the Albertini family!! This novella possibly be read as a stand alone, however, to fully enjoy it I would highly recommend it be read as part of the series! Quint & Heather were made for each other and I adore how their relationship develops. Heather definitely fits in with the Albertini girls and I'm hoping down the line that we get to read Quint & Heather's wedding or about them having children. I just enjoyed this book thoroughly and can't wait to read more about the rest of the various Albertini family!! If you haven't read any of the Anna Albertini series you need to start NOW!! Another funny, action packed, sexy romance written by Rebecca Zanetti that readers will absolutely love!! (By the way: I have this book on Kindle, Audible, & Paperback. It doesn't matter which method you choose to read the story, you'll LOVE it! The Audible was phenomenal & obviously Kindle/Paperback are amazing too! Yes, you can tell, I really love this book & series!!)
Quint and Heather's story was a fast, fun read with a great mix of sizzling attraction, humor, a little bit of suspense and an adorable furry sidekick. Jolene is still out to spread her poison, and a few new threats are introduced too. I loved the Albertini Three befriending Heather, and Anna's special brand of crazy adventures continue while adding Nonna Albertini into the mix in a whole new way that had me laughing my way through the pages. I can't wait for the next book on the series but Holiday Rescue was a great addition to hold me over until next time!
This is the first in the Albertini Family romance novellas which will feature other members of the Albertini family.
First up is Quint Albertini, who is one of Anna’s many cousins. He is a smokejumper and search and rescue expert. Its on a S&R mission to rescue a woman on a mountain that his life irrevocably changes.
Love all the Albertini Family and happy we are getting some of the male cousins stories. Plenty humor, suspense and romance.
Stranded on the side of a mountain, Heather was glad she wore a personal locator beacon which she activated. Heather never expected her rescuer to be a very handsome man with beautiful eyes and a great smile.
Quint Albertini couldn't believe his luck! The woman he rescued off Storm Mountain with a fractured ankle was beautiful and a sweetheart ! He wasn't looking for a relationship, he had no luck with woman its best to remain friends.
Holiday Rescue by Rebecca Zanetti is 100% holiday charm. From the first word to the very last, it may be my new favorite holiday story ever. Sweet, heat, fun and family, this standalone novella has it all. Including the most adorable dog, a hot and intelligent smoke jumping guy and a smart, quirky heroine. Quint and Heather's tale is an absolute joy to read.
Heather was trying to scatter her Grandmother's ashes when she slipped and slid down the mountain, breaking her ankle in the process. Quint and his brother and his rescue dog Zena come to save her and that's where their story begins. Neither are looking for a relationship but they can't deny there's an attraction between them. In the meantime Heather's ex-boyfriend is stalking her and can't get it through his head they are over. There are moments of humor and craziness and you can't help but fall in love with the Albertini family. Loved the story.
