What a dynamo Barbara Stanwyck was. As an actress, as a women, as a survivor of foster care & a broken family. She represented what it meant to be a strong, independent women, during a time period & era when women were usually objectified. Applause applause applause to her, and what she achieved in a career that spanned over 50 years.
Well done documentary, and absolutely worth watching.

I have been a fan of the late Barbara Stanwyck since I was a little girl.. I recall her fondly when she was alive on this earth. During the 1990's I would watch her movie on T*M network and A*C ...she was and still is very inspiring to all women regardless of generational or ethnic persona. What she says to all women is that .... You must love, care nd manage your own destiny. Do not allow a man to intervene in your success .. Over the years I would watch her in different movie and television shows... She like Bette Davis were one of a kind as well Katherine Hepburn. I am happy that she lived a very long life from the beginning of Vaudeville, theater, silent movies ,motion pictures from the studio system ,television and the occasional gig for television producer's such as the great-late Aaron Spelling... What a gal.... (*)

What an interesting person. What a strong and dynamic personality. Barbara Stanwyck is someone I would like to have known. I only remember The Big Valley from my younger days, but I remember that she, her character, was not one to be messed with. The Big Valley followed the success of Bonanza, and in some ways it was much better in that the characters were more well defined as individuals and more diverse, not the stock cowboy/cowgirl.

A great insight into a great star

Barbara was always one of my favorite actresses! It is a shame that she was not awarded an Oscar for any of her movie roles (not that Honorary Oscar!). I never realized how very private she was in real life, this is so unlike the persona of today's actors and actresses where every personal blemish is made known. Thanks for all the great movies Barbara!

LOOK UP ACTRESS IN THE DICTIONARY AND IT WILL HAVE 2 WORDS:
BARBARA STANWYCK.

OTHERS HAVE WON MORE AWARDS OR BEEN IN MORE FAMOUS MOVIES,
BUT SHE HAD MORE RANGE, CHEMISTRY WITH EVERY MALE LEADING MAN,
THE CAMERA LOVED HER IN CLOSE-UPS & EMOTIONS. SHE WAS AN
"EVERY WOMAN" IN HER RANGE AND ALWAYS BELIEVABLE, NEVER GAVE
A BAD PERFORMANCE.

SHE WAS KIND AND LOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.

A straightforward and beautifully done tribute. Barbara Stanwyck was a kind, down to earth, hard working&generous woman. She brought those wonderful qualities into her work as an actress, I'm so grateful that her films will always be available to enjoy. Thank You Ms. Stanwyck :)

a fitting tribute

This is a nice tribute to a real class act. Stanwyck had it all and made it look easy. Her movies, like Stella Dallas The Strange Love Of Martha Ivers are true classics, works of art. Orphaned girls back then usually had to marry any man to survive, then disappeared to raise kids. How blessed she was to escape that trap, and how lucky we are that she did!

Barbara Stanwyck....Interesting Life

I enjoyed Barbara Stanwyck moves and when she played Victoria Barkley on The Big Valley. A talented actor and not given her just due. As with us all, she was shaped by life experiences.
