Learned a lot from this documentary that I didn't know about Charlton Heston
Verified purchase
Charlton Heston and Gregory Peck are two of my favorite actors of all time -- both are men of integrity and courage. It's good that they became friends in the true sense of the word. This documentary has prompted me to search for more Heston movies on Prime, and there are several I will be watching soon!

His expressions were always spot on especially to a little deaf girl like me and of course

Now at 65, I saw Ben-Hur at the age of ten at a movie theatre in Indianapolis. It was in a panorama style and to a little girl's eyes watching the chariot races was something I can't explain. His expressions were always spot on especially to a little deaf girl like me and of course, I would be at ease watching his other movies because how his face, stature tells a story. The docu was well put together for someone with 60-odd movies. I always like a good real life love story too. Married that long with only eyes for his wife, and how he earned that much respect and devotion from his daughter in the docu.

Charlton Heston

Charlton was a great Hollywood star all the time. I saw some of his movies on TV cable in the past. My husband was very lucky meeting Charlton at the mall in San Diego during Christmas 1994. He was doing a book signing. Charlton signed his autobiography book for me as a Christmas present from my then boyfriend (same husband). Wow. I read his book.

I loved this movie on Charlton Heston
Verified purchase
I loved this movie on Charlton Heston. He was born here in St.Helen Michigan and I would have liked the movie to have included more of his formative years....All the "old-timers" who used to tell stories of him as a boy have since passed. What a handsome man. We have a charter school here in St. Helen named the Charlton Heston Academy...What a nice legacy.

Particularly liked the point-counter-point dialog with Gregory Peck
Verified purchase
Particularly liked the point-counter-point dialog with Gregory Peck. I am biased, however, as Mr. Heston was a personal friend of mine. Would highly recommend is autobiography, IN THE ARENA, in case anyone is interested in his formative years and various individuals who had an impact on his life which led to work onstage and in film.

Excellent overview of a great actor's life and career
Verified purchase
Riveting series of interviews with Charlton Heston and several of his friends and colleagues. A great overview of his career, and fascinating scenes from his time supporting Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr during the Civil Rights movement. Highly recommended, and not to be missed for any Heston fan!

(No, this isn't "A Man for All Seasons" - the lackwit who gave it a one star review because they couldn't read the description should remove that. It's not review of this excellent overview, it's an indictment of that person's reading comprehension.)

Great documentary about Charlton Heston. There are interviews, film, pictures, first-hand accounts, and Heston himself talking.
