Desperate Housewives meets Mitford in this heartwarming-but-juicy saga about the new mom on the block.
696 Apple Hill Lane is priced to sell. And Quinn Whittle assumes that’s because it needs repairs. But she’s wrong, and she’s closed on a house she never stepped foot in. A house with a history. A house with a small-town secret.
But it’s not just the pretty white Colonial with a past. Quinn has skeletons in her closet, too, and her new neighbors are congregating at the mailboxes… thrilled to have a little excitement on their very own street.
The thing is, one of the Apple Hill Four already knows everything. But she’s not telling.

This is the first in a new series and I can tell I am really going to love the whole series. There is also a little mystery going on (or maybe several..). It really kept me turning the pages. Loved it!

This book has all the ingredients to make a nice read a little bit of everything. We meet the interesting nice characters, it starts at 696 Apple Hill Lane in 1973 with a little girl in a pale pink dress. The story then takes us back to present day and lets us discover Quinn, Annette Best the realtor, Judith a neighbor, Beverly Castle another neighbor. How these women get to know each other and the new house owner on Apple Hill Lane. What the reader discovers as the story unravels is more mystery and history from the past and how these women get connected as they live in the same street. It includes gossip, rough times and scandal isn't far away.. The book kept me reading more and more it was so captivating!
I can highly recommend this book and I am happy to have read the book and will shortly read book 2 in the series!
