At least for myself I found it to be a perfect kind of creepy. I really don't like over the top special effects for "haunted, evil, moral highroads that this story seems to be " I'm 60 and " The others ", movie that Nicole Kidman was in, is sort of like this movie a perfect fit for me and this one does fit my wheelhouse. I won't ruin the movie but it's a bit slow at first, kind of like real life sometimes, there are some twists I didn't see coming, really enjoyed it.

Interesting plot, good acting. Didn't know where it was going, which added to my interest. I love movies based in this part of the country, having visited before and observed firsthand somewhat of a supernatural vibe I haven't found quite anywhere else.

An interesting idea. The actors did a decent job but the dialogue seemed contrived at times. I found the scene where the family thought the cat was being harmed to be unnecessary. I don't like animal cruelty as a plot device. The movie wasn't rife with jump scares, which was refreshing. I wouldn't pay money to see it, but watching it free with my Prime membership was okay.

I wanted a better word than "crapfest" and my spouse offered "dumpster fire." I had some hopes. The hopes weren't high and I willingly spent $20, so yay, me. But this movie was clearly harrrrrrible twenty minutes in. I stuck it out (because $20!) but there was zero payoff, ever. Terribly stupid story. Dialogue? Nope. Visuals? None. Just a zero in every which way.

I'm not really into films with religion mixed into it but this one was surprisingly good. Never saw that twist coming. Held my attention and that's always a good thing.

This is a movie with actual characters and a good plot with unexpected twists. You will definitely not see the ending coming. These characters make some really bad choices. The kid who plays the creepy visitor is perfect.

If you understand the basic storylines that flow in all Blumhouse projects I have ever seen, then you will see the genius of this movie. I am a huge Blumhouse fan and I seriously would love to work on one of their projects. This movie was perfection in my eyes.

What a self righteous piece of garbage. Had I known it was about Heaven and Hell, angels and demons, I would've never insulted my intelligence by watching. Religious rubbish at its worst. Anyone who believes that someone who isn't perfect and "pure" in life (ooh naughty) deserves to be burned alive is the evil one.
