I've only written one other review for a product that I absolutely loved. I could not read through these pages and not leave a 5 star review. The author does a wonderful job transporting you to the setting of each story. I get actual chills when reading through the pages. Maria on the Moon brought actual tears to my eyes as I was reminded of the abundance of love that I felt for my great grandmother and the lengths that I would go to still have her here with me today. Basically I'm telling you that you NEED this book! I will be buying the paperback version as soon as it is available!

No Sleeping With Brown

HOUSE WITH ONE HUNDRED DOORS: AND OTHER DARK TALES by Travis Brown grabbed my attention because of the author's reputation on Reddit's NoSleep (one of my guilty pleasures). I've read a few of the stories already on social media, but the author has such a chilling way of storytelling, knowing what would happen didn't make his creations any less terrifying. (For example: I had nightmares about The Whistler.)

This collection is one of the best I've ever read, and definitely making my Best Fiction of 2021 list. I look forward to reading more by Travis Brown, and I highly recommend this book to all horror fans.

The few stories before the main story were great and creepy. The main story was good but the ending was cliche and corny. Seemed like a cop out. The stories after the main story were all pretty corny and lackluster to me. And then suddenly, the last story is great, beautifully written. A complete hit or miss with this anthology.

Early in 2020, I did a cross country road trip with my boyfriend. I was never a big redditor, but i found r/nosleep through a twitter post and i ended up spending the whole car ride home browsing and reading almost every popular story posted.
I really loved how Brown would reference their other works inside each of their new stories. It made me feel like i was exploring a scary, supernatural twilight zone. I had never felt fear reading something like I did reading their description of a tunnel closing in on a person. I was hooked.
Im very excited to own a physical copy of their work. I will be a life long collector :)

I was familiar with Travis Brown's stories before I read this book. So I couldn't wait to get my hands on more of his work.
When I sat down to read it for the first time I was just settling into bed, I was planning on reading one or two stories before I slept. Well that didn't go to plan, I instead read the whole book! It was brilliant. This has only just been released and I already can't wait for the next one. Travis did a wonderful job on this book and I've already recommended it to everyone I know. If you love mysterious, horror riddled, cliffhangers that keep you thinking about them long after the book is over. This is the one for you.
