Can't believe this is actually being watched by anyone!!!
Well it only goes to show you how really truly depraved people are these days since it has actually gotten five stars from some people. I guess what some people call humor to me seems more just a lot of potty mouth. They had to go out of their way to actually be this gross. I mean come on people. Do you really find piles of dog poop, references to bowel movements, funny??? I watched a few episodes but to me it is a bit of a nightmare. I guess I am afraid to watch any more of it because nothing seems to be off limits, and I personally do not get a lot of pleasure watching someone be bullied to the point of torture through and entire show. I am surprised they even gave it two episodes of a second season. I doubt there are really enough degenerate people out there aside from the ones who actually MADE this series, to watch it. NOT entertaining, just maddening.

Fine Talent, Authentic Costumes & Expensive Sets Wasted on Thin, Vulgar Parody
Wait--do British people maybe like this stuff? Maybe they're just trying to trash the whole costume drama/BBC/Merchant Ivory genre. Strange how British humor can be as witty as a dry martini. At the other extreme, it's as broad, lewd, repetitive, and pruerile as Hunderby--a drawn-out Benny Hill-style series, with a whole bunch of deadpan period gloom thrown in. And maybe it's cute for 15 minutes...But in any decent comedy, characters change or grow--at least a little. Hunderby's cardboard figures remain two-dimensional and fail to surprise. Many of its fine actors have appeared in excellent films. Hunderby is an unfortunate waste of an excellent acting troupe, set/costume designers, and production crew.

Zero or negative stars would be more appropriate.
I love period pieces and was hoping this would be entertaining. It isn't.
It is a complete waste of time.
This is an over-labored exercise in immature "humor" that is obsessed with bodily functions and bullying. The costumes are alright, but they can't cover up the lack of imagination and vulgarity that comprises this offering.

Adolescent Humour
This is a terrible show that has way too many adolescent jokes. Not a good watch.

Disgusting not funny, don't waste your time.
Disgusting show & very offensive. They should have just left Geoff's character out, made it disturbing.

Absolute comedic GENIUS!
Would give ten stars if I could. A work of creative genius. Superlative acting, brilliant writing! Laugh-out -loud humor and double entendre. Would have me howling with laughter on my very deathbed. Precociously unique and forever unforgettable. Bravo and brava all concerned!

Asinine, raunchy, abusive, irreverent (and not in a good way), brain-shrinkingly stupid. 0 stars.
I really hoped it would get better. It never did. Save yourself the imagery and gross 'jokes' and scenes in your brain. This seems to have gone for 'lowest common denominator' and then quite a bit lower. Depressing, so so depressing, as well as lewd.
