This is the first time I have read this author. The story was good but I have to admit that I was a little overwhelmed. There are a lot of Characters in this story. It was a lot to comprehend, so much so, that it often took me out of the story and took away my enjoyment of the story. The focus of the relationship between Savanna and Griffin was often over shadowed because of this.

I think I need to start at the beginning with these characters and then I would have enjoyed it more because then all these characters would be familiar and I'd be invested and excited to see them make cameos in this book.

I gave it a chance read it and it was hard to finish. I didn’t enjoyed the style of writing and the story was very choppy and all over the place. This widower was a victim of an attempted murder and the next day she was acting like it was just a normal day and talking about baking cookies. It just didn’t do it for me.

I can almost officially say that I will be a serious book funk. I have recently read several notable books, and none will top this last one I read!

Savanna lost her husband, and since then, she has concluded that she won’t have another great love again. She had hers and lost him too soon. Though Savanna lives vicariously through the pages of romance novels and running the café, she always dreamed of. Little did she know that after an attempted kidnapping, she would meet Griffin Andrews. Griffin works at Falcon Falls Security after retiring from the Army.

Griffin may be a former Army Ranger and may have bounced from woman to woman, but Savanna has thrown him for a loop. Griffin still sees Savanna as a married woman and off-limits. He tried his hardest not to fall for her, but LOVE wins! The chemistry between these two is sauna HOT!

The way this book started was perfect. It truly set up Jesse and Ella’s book but also showed the history of Savanna and Jesse. If you read any of the Stealth Ops series, you have heard about Savanna and Marcus Vasquez. I loved everything about this book and went through several ugly cries. I believe in second love, and Savanna got her second chance of true love!

This new series will be excellent, and I didn’t think anything would top the Dublin series or Stealth Ops. The Falcon Falls can be standalone but does have many little hidden eggs from past books.

Too many characters from previous series.

The story was complicated with too many characters as well as twists and turns for the reader to keep up. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I don’t know if I’ll read another unless I invest the time to go back and her earlier series which seems to lead up to this one. I wish I had known that before I read this book.

The writing is ridiculously self-aware. How many times does an author need to look into the mirror with references to romance novels?
It's also unnecessarily convoluted. The plot can't work if readers can't keep track of all of the characters and side stories wandering in and out.
The only reason I can see that this author has success is there are a lot of fans of romance novels who like the nationalism and military jargon more than they like good writing.

Bringing in characters from her Stealth Ops and Dublin Nights series (both excellent) allows the reader to dive in to this series with familiarity.

Every single time I finish one of Brittneys books I feel like how can she top this yet every single time a new book comes out she has done it! The book is as equally good as others she's written or just blows you away! I love this new series already and can't wait for Ella's and Jesse's story next, it will be hard to wait til 2022! I loved this story of Savannah and Griffin❤ Savannah deserves happiness after the tragedy she has suffered and yet here she is being hunted by all kinds of bad people and along comes Griffin and his team to protect her. Big growly Griffin omg! Instant sparks between them I loved that! Loved all the twist and turns the adding of characters into the story line to always keep us guessing as to who's trying to hunt her down will sge stay safe, is her brother in law a bad guy or not. I love Savannahs forgiving heart and always wanting to see the best in people. I always love how Brittney brings characters from her other series into the story lines it makes you feel like you are a part of this whole thing and know these people so well. Again Brittney Sahin you are amazing and I hope you never quit writing these stories that we love oh so very much!!
