The first book that captivated him was a book about rockets and since then it's pretty much been multiple books about rockets and trains with just a few others thrown in here and there. Then we found the Pookie books. We first got the Goodnight Pookie book and my son loves it so much that he wants us to read it to him many, many times at bedtime - something he didn't even request with his favorite rocket books! We bought him this one along with several other Boynton books and they are all hits! I'm so glad to see him get into a book that isn't focused on a vehicle or superhero. The books are also so cute! They rhyme and are the perfect length for bedtime.

Pictures are simple but colorful or perfectly suited for it's portion of the story. The books have a beginning, middle and end. Unlike some I've purchased this year that make you feel like a page or two must be missing.
