A wonderful film that tackles a tough subject with love. And leaves you all the better for it.

I loved it!! You can't help but fall in love with Devon & feel empathy for the torture he goes through. He just wants to play his guitar, sing & fall in love. And You find yourself really hoping he succeeds. Meanwhile his family that loves him is breaking under the stress of his roller coaster sickness.A reality for many who have someone dealing with mental illness. But the film has so many positives in this Fairytale romance blossoming within Devon's mental illness. And the reward at the end of this journey you take with them makes it all worth the while. Don't miss out on this film!! And may we all find our Lucy in the sky with diamonds.

One of Brenton Thwaites' finest moments.

One of Brenton Thwaites best performances to date! I'm a huge loyal fan, and I really appreciated his work on this one. This movie shows his amazing range and talent as an actor. I was actually shocked by the story and ending. Wasn't expecting that coming. Definitely NOT predictable. Very nice ballance of comedy and drama. Well done everyone. Brenton, you da man! -- Krys Zyak

I didn't really like how they portrayed schizophrenia. They made it seem cartoonish and silly and whimsical. And the guy is annoying beyond belief. So they take a serious subject like mental illness and make a really dumb film out of it. And it was even more annoying with the Aus accents. And it somehow feels like this is a film made for teenage girls. Just silly and dumb.

Could have been good

I'm finding these complimentary and positive reviews to be a little hard to swallow. Honestly, this had the potential to be pretty good except I could not get past the main character Devon and his manic, irrational, and frankly annoying behavior/antics. He knows he's mentally ill yet seems baffled whenever he listens to his brain and it leads him to do the dumbest things. I had to skip ahead. A lot.

This was such a beautiful film...with the vibe I first got from the movie, I was afraid he was going to die at the end, and was sadly anticipating it, but the ending surprised me in a very very good way ❤️ It was also an inspiration to those who have any sort of mental illness, showing that your mental illness does not define you, and you are still capable of making that choice to pull yourself back up, and to go out and live your best life. 😊

The story was well done

It didn't seem to me that people didn't believe Devon, it's just they didn't hang around long enough to meet her. Anyone knowing Devon wouldn't think he could pull off an invisible girlfriend for very long.
Was good, no gaps, I hate people singing in movies-stick that in a variety show.

Amazing movie representing mental illness in a loving and understanding way

I enjoyed this movie and the depiction of schizophrenia. The actor Brenton Thwaites was exceptional in playing Devon and the struggles he goes through having a mental illness.

Mental illness is such a sad and debilitating disease. Not only for the patient but for family and friends as well. This film gives a glimse inside that world.
