5.0 out of 5 starsWhat agenda?
I've read through the comic series from beginning to end 3 times now. I'm really confused about how there is a good chunk of folks complaining about how it doesn't stick to the comics? Wut? It's extremely faithful in many ways, but somehow people forgot that different mediums require adjustments to how the story is presented.

As far as "wokeness" complaints, I just don't get it. There is maybe 3-4 throw away lines mentioning 4th wave feminism, a degree in women's studies, and the founding father's being slave owners or something. The Amber character was changed, probably cause she just wasn't all that interesting in the comic. Make her a bit more dynamic and give her strengths (like having the confidence to know what she wants and doesn't want) and she plays better as a foil character for Invincible. It's just character writing, not some agenda. At no point is anyone sitting there in front of the screen telling you to create an altar to Ralph Nadar or something. ..if you you're having issues with it, perhaps chill out. It is an animated show about space aliens and superheroes. Relax, take it for what it is, cause it's not about to start some sort of movement, nor is it trying to.

Overall, I really dig the show. It's not perfect by any means, but it's fun and has some killer action sequences.

5.0 out of 5 starsGreat comic brought to the silver screen
This is starting out so great! The art animation and voice acting is great and evokes the comic perfectly so far. This is an adult comic so kids should be prepared for this. It isn't 'The Boys' but it is adult themed and skulls get crushed so make a cautious decision on age and maturity for kids watching it

1.0 out of 5 starsGood until episode 3 rears it's ugly woke head
This show was FANTASTIC...and then episode 3 happened. Everything from Ta Na Hese Coates to 4th wave feminisms, to imperialistic white oppressors to our hero being loved for being a simp truly RUINED a great show. Not a recommend. I suggest reading the original comics before it was tainted by this animated series.

5.0 out of 5 starsLove it so far.
I've really been anticipating this show as I've been a fan of the comic from the time when it first came out. For those that don't know, writer/creator Robert Kirkman also created the Walking Dead comic (which the TV show is based on), but I think Invincible is his best work. After the first three episodes I'm not disappointed. It's super gory just like the comic. The art resembles Cory Walker's, who was the artist for the first few issues of the comic.

There are three things that get on my nerves so far: 1. Any mention of "that's sexist" (because the comic had none of that crap). 2. The songs/soundtrack they play during certain scenes which are abysmal. 3. I'm not a fan of the remainder of the episodes coming out on a weekly basis. This isn't cable television, so don't treat it that way. Thanks for negating the benefits of online streaming /s.

It's Pretty true to the comic so far. The story really picked up after Mark got out of high school, which was pretty early on in the span of 144 issues. So hopefully this period in his life doesn't take up too many episodes. Highly recommended and thank you Amazon. This is easily the best thing they have produced.

Oh and almost forgot, the voice cast is incredible! J. K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Mark Hamill, Seth Rogan, Gillian Jacobs, Walton Goggins, and Jason Mantzoukas are perfect. Also wanted to say that parents should be advised, this is an adults-only cartoon. Please don't let your kids watch this.

Edit 4/5/2021: I'm four episodes in and the music is getting much worse. It's really taking away from the scenes where it's prominent. Where did they find this garbage?

Update 4/10/2021: The fifth episode is by far the best so far and most true to the comic. I hear all the anti-woke folks in the comments and their complaints, and yes, I agree that episode 3 greatly suffered because of it. But that was only one episode. Don't let one episode make you miss out on a great series.

1.0 out of 5 starsShallow parody of the original
Changed too many characteristics from the comics, included their own personal political undertones. Trash read the comics instead.

1.0 out of 5 starsAnimation May Be Good but Language Like this in the First Few Minutes - I'll Pass
Sometimes you just want to watch a show without all the profanity which sometimes seems limited these days. Within the first few minutes of this show, there was some extremely profane language in my opinion and I guess a sign of things to come in this series. I'll pass although the preview seemed promising, the language is enough to make me pass and maybe others who want to be careful about what they or their families watch. Thumbs down - It probably wouldn't bother me as bad if they had an option that allowed you to filter out the bad language if you just didn't want to hear it like the old TV guardian.

5.0 out of 5 starsEveryone's a critic...
Lets pretend for a second that no other "Marvel" or "DC" or other realm of superhero's existed... would you try to like the characters then?

Lets pretend for a second that "offensive language" is only offensive because you choose it to be, or someone has told you it is...can you look past it then to try and enjoy something someone worked hard to create?

Lets pretend for a second that you are a kid again watching TV on an old tube Zenith, where sound was just there so you could hear...could you not worry about the 'audio mix" and just try to watch the dang cartoon?

Seriously, the stuff that people pick on these days and give 1 star ratings for in order to "be heard" and feel like their opinion matters is silly and average.

The casting is great. The sound is fine. The characters are fine. Its a fun series so far.
Just focus on enjoying things, not finding faults all the time. You will thank me later...
