WOW!! I could not write a review for this book, because I was just feeling some type away, just thinking and thinking, two married people, married to different people, so connected to each other. They said some things, like I wish you were mines, they finished each other sentences, he knew to call when something was wrong, but they love their spouses, and was dedicated to their vows, even thought they committed adultery. I finally come up with a decision and it's this, their has to be a book 2. so come on ladies don't lets us down, You might say God wasn't in that, but the way it ended something just not sitting well with me. I know Blu is married, and Angelique too, but why did they meed the way that they did? They both was unhappy, does Blu truly love his wife? or is he just a fateful man stuck? always thinking about something he can't have, like Angelique, and Angelique hoping for another Blu to someday show up in her life. So book 2 please. What do you say??? Maybe Blu wife will never get over that money he gave to Black Girls Magic. I'm just saying!!!

This was such a good read. Is it possible to find someone who can be your soulmate? A person Who has the same likes, interest in many areas, music, conversations etc. as you do. The only drawback is both of you are married to other spouses and not each other.
This storyline really makes you think wow what shall I do especially since you have never thought about being with anyone else besides your spouse.
This will have you really loving the two main characters. At times I said it would be great if their spouses could hook up together.
There is a lesson to be learned sometimes your in a season for a reason and then it's time to move on to the next season.

I enjoyed reading this book. Blu and Angeliques chemistry was one for the history books, it was like the passion oozed off each brief encounter. Preston had to be a fool to think his neglecting his wife wouldn't eventually send her in the arms of another man. Even Monica even though she was depressed she could have tried a little harder to cater to her husband and children I think Angelique made the right decision in the end. I'm equally happy about how Blu and Monica ended up especially since there were kids involved. I think a lesson was learned by all. I would definitely recommend this book.

I liked this book. It was real. Not that other books aren't, I was a little disappointed with the ending. I'm a romantic and love a happy ending. Not that her ending/beginning wasn't happy to her. My heart went out to Preston. He lost out because he really didn't understand her. Maybe their relationship could have been fixed. I was glad to see that things worked out for Blu. This is what he wanted, his old life back with his family in tact. It was a good read.

Two literary divas come together to write, If Only for One Night- a story about two people stuck in a loveless marriage. A career-oriented couple-Angelique and Preston have trouble with their marriage when Angelique is tired of her husband Preston being too busy for her and everything is lackluster or null and void between them. On the other side of town is Lamar, who is in a difficult marriage with Monica who suffers from a mental illness, and he too lacks what he needs in a marriage. And then for One Night, an obvious affair happens and things twist and turn thereafter, but nothing I couldn't already foresee.

I really wanted to enjoy this story because I respect both authors and admire their writing skills and entrepreneurship, but it was difficult to finish. The plot was predictable and the saturated details slowed down the story. The ending was an open door to a possible sequel that I don't think is necessary, and I will probably pass on it and wait for a new story altogether.

I definitely didn’t want Blu and Angelique to cross that line but it seemed their spouses couldn’t pick up on the issues in their respective relationships. I’m still mad at both of them for that but I’m glad it helped Monica because she was so lost and such a shell of herself. I definitely didn’t see Angelique asking for a divorce. I wish there was a follow up to this because I would love to see what happens with her next.
