Despite the example of their own parents' enduring marriage, the three Bachelor brothers show no signs of settling down. Adam has a string of unsuitable girlfriends; Luke bears the scars of a savage divorce; and Russell is in love with the one woman he can't have. When their father announces that he wants to try his hand at single life, everything is thrown into turmoil. Are the Bachelor brothers totally hopeless cases or just late starters?

I found myself quickly drawn into the ups and downs of the Bachelor family. This is my first book by Mike Gayle and he knows how to keep the reader interested in what's going to happen next. It's great getting to know what or how men think when it comes to relationships. The whole story flowed so easily that I found it hard to find a point at which I could put it down and do the things that I needed to do! Thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely have to look at his other offerings.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book. It was full of moments that would ring true for many people but I thought he ended it too abruptly. It was almost as if he got fed up and got it over with as fast as possible. It left me asking " hang on a mo' how the hell did they do that and what happened to make them do that ?" There were quite a few characters in this book and as he is a great observer of real life I wouldn't have been upset if some of them had different outcomes.
I shall still be waiting for his next book as I just love his easy, natural style of story telling.

Its a good book about relationships from a male psyche, and one does really care for the characters, and with all the ups and downs, they faced in their various relationships, it was good that all was resolved at the end, with a very happy ending. I do recommend this book though, and I enjoyed reading it.

think of this author as the male bridget jones and your on the right track.
i find all of his works thought provoking, funny, and always can relate to the things that are said and done, ladies if you cant understand mens way of thinking then any of gayles books should give you an idea.
