So, didn't realize it won't fit too well with the groove of my pantry door. But not even that, the handle wouldn't be able to be pushed down anyway. Because it has a curve at the end. Anyhow, needed a solution quick and so I improvised. And my toddler can't open and won't even go near it knowing its locked at the top.. Hope this helps someone.

My grandmother lives in a condo and has Alzheimer's. At she night kept opening the door to look out or even go for a walk into the hallway. She now cannot open the door even if she tried at night. Which, gives my family a lot of peace of mind. This devise is super easy to install you just peel the back plastic off and stick it in place. However, I advise you to find the correct placing before pealing and sticking. Once placed on the door it is stuck there. It has a supper firm hold, tried to peel it off to see and had no luck at all. Super easy to use, just push both buttons toward the middle and pull down the bottom tab.

Super easy to install and easy to open once you get the hang of it. But it works to secure doors for any seniors with dementia who “wander.” I’ve installed a few and it works. It has also withstood attempts to open the door. Just a caveat that if you leave it in the closed position, it’s impossible to open the door from the outside in case you try and enter the door from a different entrance.
