An Independent Ministry: One Woman's Spiritual Reflections on Faith Kindle Edition
Ever wondered what ministers think?
In this spiritually-themed expose on the methodology of becoming a minister, you will finally know what goes on with an ordained professional.
Rev. Webb worked, and still works, in Corporate America. After many years of being turned down for promotions due to a lack of an undergraduate degree, she went back to college. As a seasoned professional however, she chose an education route which included seminary courses ~ wanting to incorporate her sense of spirituality into her work as business consultant to the investment industry. What she learned about herself, as well as other ordained professionals will not only astound the reader, but also answer a lot of questions for the reader as well.
You will be taken along a journey of self-discovery ~ and laugh and cry and say "aha" throughout this book. The book not only chronicles Rev. Webb's personal experiences, it also highlights those whom she has worked with over the years after becoming ordained as an independent interfaith minister.
Wanting to expand your personal spiritual horizons ~ read this book.

Review
The average person who goes to church or temple has no idea the challenges that most priests, rabbis or ministers face daily. They are set apart from others ~ which consequently that can have negative consequences when one of them fails in their responsibility toward their fellow man. Rev. Webb has put together a striking and sometimes tough assessment of herself, but more importantly she has taken that assessment and turned it into growth, a learning curve, and something positive for all of us to learn from. --City Council on Religion
This book is a must read ~ especially for the lay person who would like to understand the mindset of their minister, priest or rabbi. An Independent Ministry provides a fresh approach for anyone on a spiritual quest, as Rev. Webb provides the reader with real life examples of her experiences, and the personal challenges she went through, while traveling along a new spiritual path. She explains how she had to learn what it meant, and continues to mean to her, to be a spiritual person ~ while serving mankind in her own unique fashion. --Global Publishing House --This text refers to the spiral_bound edition.

About the author

Co-founder of the field of "Trading Psychology" along with Mark Douglas - Paula has been a part of the investment, corporate, and faith-based industries since 1980 starting out working for the Vice President of the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange (MidAm) in Chicago which was the nation's first mini-contract futures exchange. Learning how exchanges work from the ground up gave her a unique understanding of the logistics of the markets and world economics, and she went on to further her education in the markets by working on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading floor as a phone clerk while learning how to trade her own account. As a day trader Paula learned that the mindset of a trader was unique, not only with regard to the markets, but to each individual trader themselves. She learned this not only through her own experiences on the trading floor, but through countless conversations with her trading buddies, as well as the traders she dated.
She is co-creator of Trading Psychology before founding her own consulting company in 1999. What she learned from these traders and alongside Mark (her husband) was that to be prosperous in your work and your relationships, you have to have a "determined" and prosperous mindset - in other words, a mindset of believing in unlimited possibilities for yourself...and believing in yourself to accomplish your goals.
Paula is an award-winning author of 15+ books, CDs, and professional coaching programs on the Psychology of Trading through empowerment and understanding what personal achievement is, available on Amazon.com and her websites. She collaborated with the other "Guru" of trading psychology, Mark Douglas (author of best-selling 'The Disciplined Trader' - 'Trading in the Zone' - 'The Complete Trader' and more; www.markdouglas.com) since the late-1980s. Paula's books and programs touch upon and help resolve the most important professional, personal and spiritual challenges faced by many today all from a practical and simple skill acquisition perspective. She currently provides workshops and individual coaching to traders and non-traders alike. www.paulatwebb.com
