It’s a war of wills between stubborn and sexy Josh Faraday and Kat Morgan. A fight to the bed. Arrogant, wealthy playboy Josh is used to getting what he wants. And what he wants is Kat Morgan.
The minute Josh Faraday meets feisty, vivacious Kat Morgan, he wants her. Not for a relationship, of course. He doesn’t do those. He wants her in his bed. But, to his shock and extreme frustration, Kat won’t play by Josh’s rules like all the others. No, this stubborn woman declares she won't so much as kiss Josh until he divulges some highly personal information.... But it's something Josh has never told anyone, and won't be telling Kat. Not over his dead body, no matter how gorgeous and sexy she is.
But the chemistry between the pair is explosive, scorching hot electricity like nothing he’s felt before. Oh, God, he’s got to get a taste. He figures all he has to do is wear the sexy woman down with is patented “playboy razzle dazzle” - show her the hotness she’s missing out on and she’ll cave, like all the rest.... The only problem with that strategy? It’s Kat’s strategy, too: she plans to wear Josh down and get what she wants too.
It’s a war of wills. A match to the bed. Who will crack first? And when they do, will either of their hearts be on the line?
Infatuation is first book of the Josh and Kat Trilogy. The next two books are Revelation and Consummation, to be heard in order. Infatuation is set in the same world as The Club Trilogy and The Morgan Brothers Series, but you do not have to hear either series first to devour this white-hot love story about Josh Faraday and Kat Morgan.

The Revelation (Josh & Kat #2) (The Club #6)
The Consummation (Josh & Kat #3) (The Club #7) by Lauren Rowe
4.5 stars!!
“We’re the greatest love story ever told – our love is the wonder of the wise, the joy of the good, the amazement of the gods.”
I love Lauren Rowe’s humour and I always know that I am going to be laughing out loud when I read one of her books and this series is no different. It is this humour that really balances the angst and the heat within this series pages.
For those that are staunch fans of The Club Series, you will know that the first four books in this series centred around Jonas Faraday, Jonas was the serious one, the deep one, the sensitive one, the one that had been hurt by the past and relied on the loyalty and support of his brother to even focus and live at times, of course he now has his wife, Sarah, but Josh was always there and now it is his turn to shine.
“I’ve carried my brother’s sanity on my back my whole effing life, even when I’ve barely been able to hold the weight of my own. And I’m tired.”
Josh Faraday is a bit of a jack the lad, a playboy, but underneath that façade, a toned body and pretty face is a man that is also deep and has that mysterious air about him, he is an enigma. He was one pretty parcel I wanted to unwrap layer by layer until the question was answered. Who was Josh Faraday?
Kat is Sarah’s best friend and we have already seen interaction between these two through Jonas’s story. Kat was the party girl with a hyphen. Kat is the total opposite of Sarah, she is confident, sassy, can give as good as she gets and has a fantastic sense of humour. She can really go to bat against Josh and at times it was hard to see who had actually won. Their text messages, their phone calls all had me in hysterics at times as well as feeling that intense sexual chemistry that always surrounded them.
“I'm not a girl who likes to be chewed up and spit out by any man. If anyone's gonna do the chewing up and spitting out, then it's gonna be me.”
There is some crossover with Jonas’s story and I would highly recommend reading that series first, it also cements just how pivotal Josh and Kat are in Jonas and Sarah’s world. While some events were familiar seeing them through different eyes gave a fresh insight into the Faraday’s as a whole and not once did it feel repetitive.
Lauren Rowe really delivers with Josh and Kat’s story. This is one couple that you can’t help but fall in love with. Their rapport is undeniable, they feed off each other and their dialogue at times is like watching a game of tennis but with many laughs rather than oooo’s and ahhhh’s. But with this couple Lauren Rowe delivers another facet to their story, as ever, she delivers on the emotional and the angst. At times it was frustrating but you know you have to take the rough with the smooth, all relationships have their ups and downs and these two are no different. With that undeniable fire that rages between them both in and outside of the bedroom you knew that these two would be combustible.
“From the minute I laid eyes on Josh, I felt like I’d hopped aboard a bullet train. Well, it looks like our train just jumped the tracks. And now there’s only one possible outcome. Crash.”
So the question on everybody’s lips is who is your favourite Faraday? My answer…impossible choice. These brothers are totally different and are totally endearing in their own way. But one thing that Lauren Rowe delivered was another fantastic series. As each book Lauren Rowe releases comes out I can see the growth in her writing, that deeper emotional connection with her characters and her character development as a whole, intertwine that with all that zany kind of Lauren Rowe humour and you have a match made in heaven. Sometimes you just click with an author’s writing style and that is what I have done with Lauren Rowe, while some may say the fun factor is a bit over the top, for me it just has me in hysterics as it resonates deep with the child inside. So yes, I laughed a lot, I swooned a lot, I cried a lot but most of all I loved a lot. These characters have made such an impact and it is a sad day knowing that this series has come to an end. However, I am going to beg Lauren for Hen’s story. I want to know all about the man behind the computer, the geek, the nerd, but a man with a heart of gold.
“My wish for you both is that you find eternal light outside the cave together.”
I loved, loved, loved Jonas and Sarah from the first trilogy. Jonas's intensity and Sarah's wit and intelligence and their chemistry together is really hard to beat. So when I learned that Josh and Kat were going to get their own story, I was excited but I honestly didn't think I'd like them as much as I love Jonas and Sarah. Wrong. I love them just as much!! The two of them are two peas in a pod and the sparks fly- no- shoot into the stratosphere when they first meet and you just cannot wait to see what happens between these two beautiful people.
I'm not going to go into the synopsis of the story since you can just read that above. What I am going to write about is why this story (and pretty much any story that Rowe has written and will write) is such a joy to read. I read (or listen to) a lot of books and most of them in the romance genre. There are too many romances out there that are carbon copies of each other. The most common theme is the super hot manwhore guy who's an alpha male with a tortured past and the shy girl with low self-esteem who's usually a virgin (why??) that's unusually drawn to said manwhore. Yawn. I like fantasy like all romance lovers but c'mon. I'd also like a little reality injected in there so I can make a connection or at least put myself into the story. Kat and Josh are beautiful people, it's true, but they're also flawed and human and Rowe writes them as people you just want to hang out with and they'd love hanging out with you too. I love Kat's make-no-apologies sexuality and feminine confidence. She knows what she wants and she knows how to get it and she's not a witch about it. She doesn't have lame hang ups about her body or who she is as a woman, all qualities that I want in myself so I find her incredibly inspiring. I get so tired of the heroine written as a whiny girl with no backbone waiting around for her prince to come and save her. Gag. Josh is gorgeous yes, but he's also funny and loyal to his friends and family and who is just an incredibly nice guy. He doesn't brood about his difficult past or hide behind childish behavior. He has a good time and wants everyone around him to have a good time too. What makes this story a great romance is not the hot sex. (Although there is some really hot sex!) It's the conversations that Kat and Josh have. (There's a great "texting" scene that just made me laugh and giggle at the back and forth of it all.) It's the time they spend together trying to help their friends. (Josh learns how truly awesome Kat is at her job in PR.) It's their witty bantering and crazy disagreements and misunderstandings. (Hilarious party scene when a previous sex partner of Josh's shows up.) It's their competitive one-upmanship and stubbornness. (Just show Kat your application already Josh!) And all this before they even kiss! Finally! An author who knows how to write foreplay! It hearkens back to the greatest romantic movies ever like When Harry Met Sally and practically every Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks movie ever made! This is what will keep you invested in Kat and Josh's story! Their intellectual connection and chemistry. Oh and the sex of course! ;) Ah! And when they finally get down to it, it's that much sweeter because of all the build up! Boom!
I can go on and on and I know I already have so I'll stop right here. I'm dying to finish this trilogy and I can hardly wait for the rest of this series to finally be released! And on that note, Miss Rowe, I hope you're writing you're next big thing right now because I can already tell I'll be in a book slump until your next book!

The Infatuation brings us back full circle so Josh can show us the man he is.. And Geez .. Wowser. All things holy Batman. He is Hawt & I mean H A W T. He is charming , witty, funny, gawgeous and damn right dirty, sexy explosive .. Like omg, please and thank you!! Then enters Kat, she is Sarah's BFF & is beautiful, sassy, funny as hell, caring sensitive & one book chick I totally crushed over.... The two really do show what true infatuation is all about.. It's simply SEXPLOSIVE... Passion is raw, needful, dripping in anticipation & well worth the wait.. No spoilers , but dear lord I want to play cowgirl with Mr Faraday any time is he is free 😜😜
The game they play is hard at times, and does kick you in the gut when the emotions overflow, but their destiny was definitely written in Jonas's starry skies & without doubt they make one super smexy, amazingly funny couple ... Kat shows how vulnerable she is to hurt &. Josh, well he finally allows us a glimpse of how much he has shouldered being the best big brother he can be & the sheer impact of loving Jonas unconditionally has had on him. Eeeek I can feel the lump in my throat already ..
Anyway, for me Lauren is a comedy genius. Her writing style is so funny & as I read her books it's like those would be the words.. Cursing & all.. That would fall from my mouth lol. She literally nails her stories like a pro & I can't wait for my next fix.. Bring on book 6 & 7!!
You can read this as a stand alone, but for me, I would honesty recommended you start with Jonas story & read The Club Trilogy first, you won't be disappointed & will get the best kinda feelings from The Infatuation .
Thanks Monkey Momma... Awesome as always

Again i was immersed in the Faraday world and its a world that if i had a choice i would never leave! This book is thrilling from start to finish and if it wasn't for the fact life got in my way (needing to get some sleep before i had to get up for work) i would have finished it in once sitting as once i start these books i find it very hard to stop!
These books always leave me wanting more in every sense of the word!
I honestly can't recommend these books enough. Everyone needs a bit of Faraday in their lives!

But honestly ending it like that.......... I'm so pleased now I delayed reading it as I only have to wait 2 days till my next fill!!
Lauren Rowe you truly are my favourite author & I had many including Minx Malone, J. S. Scott, Emily Jane Trent, Jasinda Wilder & E. L. James but by god woman you have blown them all out of the water!!! Congratulations! XxxX
