5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ever! I am ready to move to Miracle Springs!
By PPLUMMER on January 27, 2021
Ellery Adams is my favorite author. She has gone over and above her past writings in this book. Familiar characters, as well as new characters make this book a terrific read. Her writing draws one into the world of Mystic Springs, North Carolina, and one simply does not want to leave. Nora and her
friends find themselves embroiled in a puzzle dealing with mystical undertones in this novel, and does not disappoint.

We meet, for the first time, an old friend of Nora‘s from her past life and we see how she deals with meeting her past and bringing it into her present. Without going into too many plot details, I can simply say that this episode of the Secret, Scone, and Book Society shows us our love, trust, and friendship can conquer any obstacles.

Ms Adam’s books are not quick, comfortable reads. One must savor every word and allow oneself to be drawn in. Some other books are lighter, quicker reads, like ones that might be read while waiting for a hair or physicians appointment. This book is the type that one might read while a family member is having surgery, (which is when I read it) while in quarantine, or a passenger in an overseas air flight (if such ever happens again!). Ms Adams’ novels rise to a higher plane— to that of fine literature. I wish I were a better wordsmith so that I could adequately describe her writing and this book in better terms. However, I must refer to the words of an old commercial, where the big brother is talking to Mikey, “Try it! You’ll like it!”
