In Book 17 in the series, Abby joins Colt as he investigates the death of a local man who died after eating pudding dosed with poison during a community dinner. Was the man targeted or was the poison in the pudding a random act set into motion by a madman intent on murder?

Meanwhile, Thanksgiving is only a few days away and several guests who've visited the inn in the past return to spend the holiday with Abby, Georgia, and the rest of the Inn at Holiday Bay family.

The Inn at Holiday Bay quickly became one of my favorite series.
I love the setting and characters. Friendships are easily formed when guests check in, several later relocating to the area.
This book will appeal to fans of the television series, Murder She Baked, based on books by Joanne Fluke. The mayor, in particular, reminded me of that series.

Besides a terrible tragedy for the town, the Inn family is concerned when one of their own may be forced to move far away. They must remain strong and hope for the best.

As always, when guests check in at the Inn, there is another mystery or mission to follow through on.
A warm, family friendly cozy read to enjoy.

This community comes together to celebrate holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas in this book. There is a theme of second chances in this series and in most of Mrs. Daley’s stories. I love the way she writes in a continuing saga fashion with hints and clues to stories in the future (and red herrings). I love that not all questions are resolved in each book. I enjoy the character development and the introduction of new characters.

I'm continually drawn back to Holiday Bay (how I wish it was real). Abby, Georgia, Jeremy & Annabelle have created a family & it's Thanksgiving at the Inn. A community dinner ends in sadness (Abby figured that mystery out). Annabelle is off to Spain for a visit with her mom! And a family - possibly two - has a reunion.

Once again, Kathi Daley has woven the tales of residents and guests of the Inn at Holiday Bay into a can't put it down plot with twists and turns. With each book in the series, I'm more invested in the lives and characters that come together at the Inn. Read this series from Book One on and don't be disappointed!

Good book with a lot of action and believable characters The author has written the characters as growing stronger with each book in the series, it makes these cozy mysteries so enjoyable. As the characters would in real life, Kathi Daley has written relationships and friendships that are growing and changing all the time.

Very enjoyable story, but I thought the mystery was too easy to figure out. Even with that minor detail, I am a fan of this series.

When the Mayor dies suddenly, Abby's boyfriend local policeofficer Colt is heading up the investigation, did someone murder him?

I really enjoyed the book but felt it was a little short and rushed this time, but it didn't stop my enjoyment of the book. Books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters. Can't wait for the next book to be released.
