I love love love love this show. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite shows of all time. The writing is superb. I can’t think of a single character that couldn’t hold their own show, even Thug Yoda. I am, however, disappointed in Amazon for the bait and switch. I used to have HBO so I could watch Insecure whenever I wanted. I cancelled HBO a while ago and decided to buy the seasons on Prime. Each season was priced at $9.99. I bought one, watched it all in 2 days and when I went back to buy the next season, the price jumped to $19.99 for each season! Just two days later! I would rather re-subscribe to HBO than pay Amazon $19.99 off of principle. Not that the show isn’t worth $19.99, which it definitely is, I just feel like they knew what they were doing.

Insecure is one of the most relate-able shows I've ever watched in my lifetime! You will laugh your a** off, you will cringe, you will be happy, sad, disappointed, optimistic - this show makes you FEEL! Issa Rae is a GEM. The writes and producers are on a great path that I hope they stay true to for future seasons! The music, coordinated by Rafael Saadiq & Solange (NEED I SAY MORE), is what really makes the show even better. I'm old school and I love when music is tied into a show and almost treated as another character. You will NOT be disappointed by watching this show and I'm sure you'll fall in love with Issa Rae and the cast the same way I did!

Issa Rae is killing it with this season! The first one was good, it was a test of sorts, and it's clear that people liked it. The second season demonstrates increased confidence and refinement, and I can't wait for more!
Awesome Work...I love each Season of Insecure because it's authentic and funny while capturing many of the life issues that many misunderstood young black women face. Each character, in their complexity, has their unique gifts and strengths. I love that the show can be humorous but at the same time very probing and thought-provoking. It's so refreshing to tune in and see many of the well-known spots that I've frequented or passed umpteen times as a native of Los Angeles. Wonderful work, Issa Rae.

Absolutely amazing on every level... of course I say that about anything with Issa's name on it. I have watched both seasons through at least three times. It is truly wonderful to see a show about a complicated, imperfect, intelligent, strong BLACK women! I truly thank each and every person who had a part in make such a wonderful series.
ISSA RAE is one of the most brillian entertainers I have watched in a long time. I love the storyline, characters and music of Insecure. As an LA native of course it's fun to see all of the places I frequent at home. The cast is incredibly talented. Love that this show is tapping into the incredible powerful, lucrative market of minority millenials. Smart!
Step into a world where Issa Dee is the character who experiences awkward moments in daily life at work, relationships, friends, and the night life. You ever not know what to do or say to the people in front of you or about to see? Then you end up thinking about it over and over? This is for you. Her writing shows us what goes thru her head, and all of our heads, on screen. She takes it to the next level because she puts those thoughts in music form. Some of us do this, I do this. Those moments we talk to ourselves for self motivation to be brave, courageous, and then ultimately run away. The writing is raw is real. We can all relate even if we're not women.
So good. So in her element. She's taken the same magic that made the "Awkward Black Girl" YouTube series special and made this show into something phenomenal. I'm looking forward to seeing how this season unfolds. I love how her style has evolved too!
