I've watched every episode of MORSE. Although I thought the series was, overall, excellent, I couldn't get past Morse treating Sgt. Lewis like the village idiot. I kept watching season after season, hoping to see Morse show Lewis some respect - even in Season 5 Morses' boss brought that exact issue to his attention - but to no avail. Ive also watched all of LEWIS and was glad to see the good rapor Lewis and Hathaway had. And while we're at it, the good relationship between Endeavour and DI Thursday. ENDEAVOUR being the only surviving link I continue to watch. So, although MORSE is a good series, it takes a back seat to ENDEAVOUR and LEWIS.

Love the show

Love the show. Interesting to watch the development from first to last in the way they treat women. Great detective series.

There's some problems with ordering/labeling of episodes on series 8:
Series 8 episodes are labeled wrong and the last episode is ordered as the second. The Daughters of Cain" is actually suppose to be episode 5 "The Remorseful Day" and then each episode is labeled wrong afterward.

Fantastic. Round of applause (while you keep your card ...
So I can watch just one episode with Acorn subscription, the other episodes belong to Britbox which is another channel that I should pay separately, besides paying for Prime, Acorn,etc,etc... Yes! rob us all Prime Video , why don't you??! And let the channels do whatever the hell they want. Fantastic. Round of applause (while you keep your card pouring) to the inexistent customer protection everybody!!!! Of course, a phone call to them sounding very mad might fix this particular mistake, and shower us with kind apologies, but isn't it funny how ALL this "mistakes " are in our di$advantage? and if we don't realize and have the time to call and complain (many times) it doesn't get fixed...

I get so mad that I take the time and I type this again and again, but is so sad because I see this things going on in this department every single day. I had the hope that Amazon being such a big company and al was going to get better in Prime Video, channels and tv pass, but after a couple of years is actually getting worse. And I'm not all over it, just around some things I like, I can't imagine all the mistakes if I really look around!.
I really think that people have settle and accept all this as normal, well, good for Amazon and its growing shares thanks to all of our money.

Great actors and series
I have watched all the episodes. It was very sad to see Morse getting sick and throwing up blood and collapsed in the end. Was it fortuitous with what happened to the actor John Thaw? Who died only 2 years after the last episode from esophageal cancer. He's a great actor who died way too young. This series is impeccable with great performances and stories. Top notch.

Great Series
I loved the quality of this production; Morse is an unforgettable character, and a counterpoint to his Sargent Lewis. Both smart and talented detectives in their joint crime solving; different personalities, styles, generations, but a great team.
Most of these stories were crackerjack ones: a few I could have done without. Some beautiful scenery, locations, etc.
The only negative for me was the casual sex portrayed often in the episodes; even Morse, our heroic character succumbed. Though I will say he was never shown n any pruient manner. I just don't prefer seeing men and women treat the gift of sex between male & female (that was created for man and wife) as casually as a dinner date. Yes, I wanted Morse to find the special one for him and settle down because he seemed to deep down crave hearth & home.
I'm glad I stuck with the entire series even though the last episode had a sad tone because you just knew his time in charge was ending.....

British Cop Shows are the Best
I started with the John Thaw connection, "The Sweeney" to "Inspector Morse." Then the "Inspector Morse" connection, to "Lewis" and "Endeavour." All (even the campy 1970s "The Sweeney") of them stand on their own as epic television shows. They put U.S. cop shows to shame. It's the screenplays and the acting that put British shows on top. They all are filled with episodes you can watch more than once. I have to put "Inspector Morse" on top, but "Endeavour" is still an on-going series so who knows - it is a close second and still running. John Thaw was such a great actor I'm looking forward to seeing some of his other shows.
