After a nice 9 page introduction written by the author and 4 pages of examples, there are two main sections, a weekly planner providing an overview for the week and a daily action section. The weekly overview is accompanied by a brain dump section to write whatever you want on the next page. There are success tips on the 2nd half of the page. These are thoughtful and useful tidbits of information, with sources to the studies where this info was found. Then the next two pages include a deeper dive on setting up a timeline for your week.
The second section is for daily planning, time blocking, and short notes. Each day taking up two pages. If done correctly, you won’t have much space left over. And that seems fine, at first.
It’s frustrating that there just isn’t enough space for notes you’d like to take throughout the day, or write check lists to yourself you come back to days or weeks later. If there was a notes section that I can just flip back to, that would be ideal.
Instead I’m like, wait which week did I write down those notes from the conversation I had with the title company?
The final page of content only provides a Daily Action Plan, but is blank on the next page. That’s either Brandon Turner being funny, or not proofreading the whole journal.
Very frustrating for a journal.
I’ve recently picked up a different journal that has more space for notes, as well as 15+ blank pages in the back, as well as the daily structure I’m looking for. Next Level Daily.
I’ve purchased about 4-5 Bigger Pockets books and have noticed that none of them have blank pages in the back to write down your own notes along the way.
I feel like some people can really benefit from using this journal especially if you’re writing your daily notes down elsewhere.
I am looking to buy one for my daughter and another one for me for 90 days out so I have it ready to rock when I am done with my first journal!
