Introducing The Bible has enabled me to understand God more. The authors have presented the main principles in a concise and easy to understand way. I feel like they have taken years of study and inspiration and then created a wonderful tool to help the common person.
The Bible is so big, that for some, the text in entirety could be overwhelming. Understanding the Bible as a whole would be like trying to eat a large loaf of bread. The authors instead, break down the meaning into smaller pieces (bite by bite). Their book is like "CliffsNotes" meets multi-tool for biblical study: which I consider to be an important element in understanding the Word of God. I never knew some of the rich important history that is useful in comprehending the context of the Bible and how that Scripture applies today. They have solidified a foundation that I will build upon for years to come. All in all, Introducing The Bible by Jaime & Will Riddle has broadened my understanding of the Word of God.

An in-depth analysis on the most popular Book worldwide

The Bible is the most published book ever and "Introducing the Bible" offers a great deal of practical insight into everything from translations to varying doctrines that have emerged. After reading this book the first time, I must say that there are so many nuggets and insights that another read will be necessary. It's sort of like watching a movie where you don't pick up certain messages or events that are relevant to the whole story. Also, the title of the book does not necessarily reflect the depth that the authors cover from Genesis to Revelation. I personally benefited the most out of the final section relating to applying scripture in my life. I appreciate the balance the authors promote between sound interpretation and the Holy Spirit's guidance. In conclusion, the book is extremely informative and compresses into less than 200 pages what could have easily been 400 plus pages. I enjoyed it and think that anyone who wishes to dive deeper into their study of the Bible would be well served in reading it.

If you are looking for an in your face yet practical approach to reading the bible than this book has your name all over it!! In this book the authors go through extensive history of how we got the bible, why we use it and even has a chapter that has been included on how to select a good bible for you! The bible is the life source of how we as believers live as Christ in this world. This book does much more than introduce you to the bible, it is like a blood vessel or artery to the heart of God!!!

Practical resource on the introduction of the Christian faith

This is an excellent resource, a practical handbook that will help you to explore the Christian faith through the understanding of the Bible. The book's design [logical sequence and easy to read style] aims to help a wide range of people, including Christians [from new believers to leaders]. If you are a Christian is a must have. Personally, I recommend this title to be used in a Foundations class, and if you are a mature Christian you will benefit of the refreshing approach of the contemporary authors. You may be surprised to find yourself learning or re-learning some things.
